chapter. 8

"HURRY UP YOUR GONNA BE LATE!" my mom yells up to me. "I'm almost ready, I just need to tie my shoes!" I yell back to her. Today I decided to wear an All time low tshirt with black skinny jeans and black high top converse. I finish tying my converse and then run downstairs to the kitchen. I grab a nuts over chocolate Luna bar to bring with me into the car. I turn the keys and within minutes I arrive at my school. I park my car and then run into my first class, Science. Science is one of my favorite classes, the teacher doesn't really care if your paying attention or not, but either way I don't mind learning about science. This class flies by quickly, as normal. I look at my schedule to see what I have next. Great, I have Spanish with Señorita Riorosa (again, just mixing words so it's "river pink") . She's nice but she was born in Spain and has a heavy accent so I can barely understand her, and she's good at Spanish, but she's not good at actually teaching it. This class goes by slowly, as usual, and I'm confused for basically the whole time. The bell rings and I jump out of my seat to run to my next class. Math. This is the only class I have with Ashton, he's such a charming person. I slide into a seat in the right back corner and set my stuff down. Shortly after I get settled Ashton shuffles in the room and slips into the seat next to me. "I can't wait for you to come over so I can teach you how to drum." Ashton says quietly when the teacher starts talking. "Same!" I say loudly so Ashley can hear, once Ashton started talking she's been listening to what we've been saying. We turn our attention back to the teacher and learn about scientific notation. Math flies by quickly and then we look at our schedules and see that we both have lunch. "Wanna sit next to me at lunch today?" Ashton asked me when I stood up to start packing. "Yeah, let's go." We walk out of the classroom together and then pull into a 2 seater table. We take our food out and start eating. "After school today you can drive home and then call me when you are ready for me to pick you up." Ashton says. "Alright, it won't be too long for me to get ready." I reply. Minutes later we throw out our trash and then say goodbye. I look at my schedule and see that I have history, ela, and then art. I head to my history class. This is so boring. I end up sitting next to my friend Nicole. We talk about going to the mall sometime for basically the whole class. Our history teacher is stupid and does not notice when people are not paying attention or when they are talking. When this class ends I say goodbye to Nicole and then walk to ela. Ela is like science for me, I don't mind learning in it, so it tends to go by quickly for me. I'm the last one to come into class and get stuck next to some jock named Ryan. He staring at me smiling and talking to his friends the whole class. I just ignore it for the whole class hoping he doesn't try to talk to me. After class I get up and start walking. "Hey, you!" I hear him call. "You do know I have a name, right?" I say sounding annoyed. "Dani, do you want to hang out after school on Friday?" he asks, sounding like he knows I'll say yes. "No, sorry. I'm not interested." I say while walking away. I continue towards my last class, art. I like this class, the teacher is really nice. I sit in the seat closest to the teachers desk, Mrs. Glynn. She's probably the nicest teacher at or school. We always talk whole I do my work. She introduces "contour lines" to our class and then shows us what they look like. She gives us a piece of paper to try it on. She then sits in her seat and starts talking to me. She starts talking about how her daughter did well at her dance competition and she has nationals next week. The class flies by and the next minute the bell rings. She collects our work and then I say goodbye to her. I run to my car and then drive home. I go to my room and refresh my makeup and fix my hair. I jog back downstairs and tell my mom what I'm doing, as I text Ashton that I'm ready to get picked up. A minute later I see a car pull up in the driveway, it's Ashton. I jump into the car and a minute later leave the car and enter his house. We head to his basement where his drums are and stars out with showing me one of the songs he made. He then has me sit down and try to play a simple beat. I completely fail. He laughs and then goes behind me and wraps his arm around me and grabs my hands to try to guide me to play the drums. He looks into my eyes and smiles. After I get a beat he goes away and I do it on my own. I do it perfectly. He smiles, "impressive. I'll show you a harder one." He wraps his arms back around me and move my arms to make a more complex beat. This time I look at him straight in the eye and smile and starts leaning in like he's gonna kiss me. He's about one inch from my face and he jerks his head back and starts acting different.

ASHTONS POV

She looks into my eyes and smiles at me, I immediately start leaning in slowly to kiss her... WAIT. I have a girlfriend I can't do this. I pull my head quickly back and then show her a new beat. She does well on her own and I decide to end on this good note. "You did great today, maybe we could meet up some other time too?" She nods suspiciously and then stands up. I lead her to the car and then we hop in. I drive to her house and then let her out of my car. What was I thinking. Why did I try to kiss her in the first place? I just sort of felt a magnet pulling me towards her lips, I'm not sure why. I shake this thought from my head and drive home. I go straight to my room and check the time. It's already 10:00pm. "I guess I'll just go to sleep right now." I say to myself. I have no trouble falling asleep...

(I finally wrote again!!!I thought it was gonna be a lot longer u till I write but last minute I decided to update. I hope you like it! this whole story is probably going to be slower and progress slowly.
