The group filed out of the room, but not before Yoongi couldn't help but make one last quip.
Yoongi: "Alright, no more guessing games now. We've got a patient to take care of."
Alaya rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a small smile.
Alaya: "For once, I agree with you. Time to put our competitive hats aside and be serious for a change."
Shaneil chuckled. "But let's not forget the coffee bet. Loser still buys the team their next caffeine fix."
Taehyun laughed. "Of course, we can't forget about that. It's a matter of honor."
They continued bantering down the hallway, their spirits lifted by the successful teamwork they had just displayed. Despite their earlier competition, they had proven themselves to be a cohesive unit when it mattered most.
As they walked, Yoongi turned to Alaya with a smirk.
Yoongi: "I gotta admit, your guess wasn't half bad back there. You might have some potential as a doctor after all."
Alaya raised an eyebrow, not quite ready to accept the compliment gracefully.
Alaya: "Oh, please. My 'guess' was based on my keen observational skills and quick thinking. Don't pretend you weren't secretly impressed."
Yoongi chuckled, not denying her claim.
Yoongi: "Well, maybe there's some truth to that. But don't get too cocky. We all know I'm the best around here."
Alaya rolled her eyes playfully.
Alaya: "Oh, please. Just because you're a brilliant neurosurgeon doesn't mean you're the absolute best at everything."
Yoongi feigned disappointment, placing a hand over his heart.
Yoongi: "You wound me, Dr.Alaya. I thought you had more respect for my undeniable talents."
Alaya smirked, enjoying the banter.
Alaya: "I have respect for your talents, but I also know your ego needs a reality check sometimes. We can't all be perfect, you know."
Yoongi placed a hand on his hip dramatically.
Yoongi: "Perfection is a matter of opinion, darling. In my humble opinion, I'm pretty damn close to it."
Alaya shook her head and laughed.
Alaya: "Humble, huh? More like delusional."
Yoongi raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes.
Yoongi: "Oh, you're just jealous of my unparalleled charm and skill."
The banter continued as the group reached the doctors' lounge, where the coffee machine stood waiting.
Taehyun: "So, shall we put our coffee bet into action?"
Alaya let out a sigh, pretending to be frustrated.
Alaya: "I guess we have to honor our agreement, even if it pains me deeply to admit my defeat."
Yoongi leaned against the counter with a smug expression.
Yoongi: "Oh, don't be so dramatic. It's just a coffee bet. And I assure you, I will thoroughly relish my victory."
Alaya crossed her arms, a mischievous grin on her face.
Alaya: "You better enjoy it while it lasts. Next time, I'll be the one sipping coffee and gloating."
Shaneil chuckled, enjoying the spirited exchange.
