Chapter 2.5: Break

It has been more than a week since that tragedy took place in the lives of Vance and probably, soonly, Elara.

A harsh and sudden tragedy which really shook a grown man's guts to its extremes.

It was not bargained, for Vance to experience such an incoming bad news. It was difficult for him to digest it or even swallow that category of information.

Ms. Whiskers is now, hence, buried 6 feet under near the meadows of her favorite flowers, dandelions.
She would often, out of excitement inhale its seeds from a mature plant and sneeze for hours; Which Vance found memorable. But after an hour, her continuous sneezing would terrify Mr. Vance; and he'd rush to the Vetnarry to treat her temporary allergies.

Dandelions won't feel the same again.

Vance is on a break as discussed, he finally decided to work over his mental situation more than anything else.

He cut off the gym, he took a breather from running errands and he took a break from his numerous part time jobs. Like teaching, working as a waiter at a cafe, being a life guard at a beach near his house, and being a freaking web developer assistant at night.

Simultaneously, he started smoking at least twice a day, quit organizing his stuff, ceased following a proper sleep routine, slept for hours and sometimes never slept. Basically, his schedule was messed up.

Oh, never mind, his mental health is fucked followed by his physical health.

A divorce and then this? He was living in a sea of shame.

Our man needed some comfort and we all know that one person who can take care of him the earnest.

Elara Eglantine.

But Elara? Is she ready to take care of him?

Is she the one who can take care of him?

How would Xavier react to this?

Things are going to be Interesting it seems..
