The door to Minho's apartment swung open with an energetic burst as Hyunjin, his best friend, bounded into the room. His cheerful demeanor and quick steps brought a lively contrast to the quiet morning.
"Hey, Minho!" Hyunjin's voice was upbeat as he breezed in, his face breaking into a grin. "I've come to cheer you up. What's the scoop?"
Minho, still half-lost in the haze of the morning, chuckled at his friend's enthusiasm. "Hey, Hyunjin. Last night was... quite an experience."
Hyunjin's eyes sparkled with curiosity, but he waved his hand dismissively. "Oh, don't tell me now. I'm off to see San. But hey, if you need to debrief later, I'm your guy."
With a playful wink and a quick pat on Minho's shoulder, Hyunjin dashed out the door, his laughter lingering as he made his way to his next appointment.
Left to his own devices, Minho slouched back onto his bed, thinking about the chaos of the previous night. His phone buzzed on the bedside table, breaking the silence. He glanced at it and saw a message from his father, Lee San.
"Minho, I need to talk to you. I'm arranging your marriage. Please come to the house this afternoon to discuss details."
Minho's heart sank as he read the message. He exhaled deeply, a sense of frustration washing over him.
The idea of an arranged marriage felt stifling and overwhelming. He couldn't believe he was being thrust into this so suddenly, and the thought of being paired with someone he didn't choose himself was infuriating.
He muttered to himself, "Why can't I choose my own partner? Is Dad really this strict?"
Minho stared at the ceiling, grappling with his feelings about the impending marriage and the restrictions imposed by his father's traditional values.
