Hughie PoV:

He's been in there for a while now, unmoving.

Not screaming, cursing, trying to breakout.

Just lying there.

Maybe, he's thirsty? I know he's a prisoner but...

I walk towards the barricades door that separates me from him. I twist the handle, pulling it open with a creak.

There's still know movement in the room, no noise as if the cage is empty even though its not.

I walk towards it, placing the glass of water close enough to the cage so Translucent can easily reach and grab it. But nothing happens as if nobodies there.

"Well if you don't want it..." I reach down to pick it up as there is no point leaving it there to attract mosquitoes if he's not going to actually drink it.

"No I want it cheers." The glass moves up and the water is drained from it before being placed down against the concrete again with a clink.

"I want to ask you a question about the Peacemaker, why is everyone so afraid of her. Is she a supe or is she human like me?" I have to know what I am getting into before I get in too deep.

"So that's why you brought me here to find out about her?"

"No. Yes. Maybe?" I don't really know but maybe it will help us.

"Okay kid lets play a game. You can ask me a question and I'll answer then vice versa." Translucent's voice is curious.

"Fine. I go first, who is she?" Maybe then we could persuade her to change sides.

"She's Vought, nothing more nothing less. The perfect supe. An angel walking on Earth. A gift from God himself."

"That doesn't answer my question, what is her name?"

A laugh echoes around the room taunting me. "I've already answered your question, now answer mine. Why were you planting the bug in Vought towers?"

"It was part of a security test to see if you were up to scratch." Blood rushes to my face. The laugh echoes around the room again.

"That's bullshit. What's the real answer."

Should I tell him, should I not. Choices, choices, choices but I need to find out at the end of the day. "I'm trying to find out why A-Train ran through my girlfriend, Robin Ward, and how it was deemed as a necessary accident while he was fighting crime."

"Oh, I remember that. She was pissed off." His chuckles bounce off the walls "She yelled at A-Train for hours for that, it made me so fucking hard." I throw up in my mouth. I hear the movement of skin against skin as he rearranges himself in the cage as if he's getting himself comfortable.

"Next Question,"  I have two which one should I ask as there is only so much time till Butcher comes back "Why was she angry with A-Train for running through Robin."

"She hates the loss of Human life. When at the end of the day a dead human is a dead human another one who will soon be forgotten, she actually cares." I can imagine his lips pulled back in a Pennywise grin as he says that "After all, she makes sure you get compensation and unnecessary apologies. We do our jobs but if people get hurt on the way it's necessary for the good of all humanity." He laughs again as I sit there across from him.

"You don't care about doing good do you? About saving lives?" He continues to laugh, ignoring me.

"YOU DON'T CARE WHO LIVES OR DIES! YOU JUST- JUST-" I'm losing my temper now. The anger and pain is boiling up inside of me. Everything I have tried to suppress rising to the surface.
