"Let's go" he bit his lip.————————
I sat in silence with my head rested against the side of the car as he drove me into the unknown. I had no idea where we were going and that made the fear within me 10 times worse. The city lights flashed in my eyes as I stared out of the window. New York was always alive; it was never quite here.
I was caught it a gaze before I noticed a large crowd ahead, I tightened up in my seat and sat up. Since I moved here I had never really gone out. I had always been too scared to leave the house in fear of Evander finding me again. Which he did, yet I still don't know how if I had moved so far away.I looked out at the people crowding the streets before they made a path for the car. We rolled forward before stopping before a few cars lined up. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as people stood around, their faces struck with anticipation.
"Don't speak unless I say" Evander demanded before turning off the engine.
I ignored him looking out the window as a tall man walked emerged from the crowd and began walking towards the car. He was hauntingly familiar like I'd met him before.
The door beside me swung open and looked up to see Evander holding the door for me. I shook my head breaking my daze and got out of the car wriggling my dress down as I felt eyes on me. Evander's cold hand gripped my hips as he directed me forward.
I was now face to face with the man, he towered over both of us, his commanding presence impossible to ignore. His angular face was framed by braids that hung on his neck. His intense dark brown eyes with a deep-set gaze that could easily unsettle anyone who looked into them. He had a single silver hoop on his lower lip catching light from the city lights. He was so good-looking, yet an unsettling feeling lingered in my stomach.
I looked away noticing a man a little bit behind him. The man had a sickly complexion, the dark darkness in his eyes were highlighted by the dramatic eye makeup- thick eyeliner and smudged eye shadow. He had black dreadlocks, streaked with blonde highlights. They both had the same angular face with piercing dark eyes.
I looked towards the other two cars parked as two men stood there I couldn't see them as they were facing the other way. One had short blonde hair and the other had longer brown hair which looked thin. I looked back to the man in front of me blocking out everything before I felt Evander pinch my hip. I turned to look at him as he waited for me to speak.
"What?" I looked around confused. Evander glared at me and shook his head when the man before us spoke up.
"Tom" he grinned looking at me. I smiled and nodded back.
"Danie-" I stared before Evander pulled my arm down.
Tom's POV
I admired her figure as she began to speak. I didn't hear her I couldn't help but be drawn in by her. Her blonde hair, pulled back into a sleek bun, framing her face. I watched her short black dress begin to rise my lips curling before she wriggled back down. The dress clung to the figure in all the right places. I watched her every move like prey. The eyeliner in the corner of her eyes highlighted her soft hazel eyes.
"Danie-" she began to speak before I watched the new guy yank her arm down. I tilted my head my lip curling.
"Danie-" I looked at her.
"Daniela" she forced a smile.
"Well, it's nice to see you again" I looked her up and down again.
I watched as she furrowed her eyebrows and looked deeper into my eyes. I smiled as fear swam through her eyes as I looked back to the new guy.
"And your name?" I asked.
"Evander" he spoke proudly.
I looked back to Bill as he held his lips shut. I smiled a little and turned back around.
"You here to race?" I asked.
"Nah" he raised his chin.
"Why not" I tilted my head crossing my arms as he shrugged his shoulders.
"I've heard a lot about you and want to talk business" he spoke taking a step closer to me.
"Okay," I looked down at him before turning around.
I leaned against my car as Evander stopped in front of me standing proud. A laugh hid behind my lips as he leaned against Bill's car.
"Get the fuck off my car" Bill stepped closer to Evander.
"Sorry" he leaned off looking back at Bill.
I laughed a little before looking back at Daniela. She stood with her arms crossed staring out at the crowd. I tilted my head trying to read her, but I couldn't. Something about her was so captivating.
"Your biggest dealer around?" he asked as I looked back towards him.
"I don't know" I laughed.
"I can buy from you?" he tilted his head.
"What do you need?" I said crossing my arms.
"Methamphetamine" he said breaking eye contact and looking at Daniela for a moment then back to me.
"How much?" I asked.
"A ton" he spoke.
"Let me see what I can do" I said leaning off the car and walking away.
"Bill" I called out.
Daniela's POV
I watched as Tom walked away as he called out for the man. Bill was his name. I knew just from their group's presence that they were worth a lot. The way everyone stared in awe at them I knew they were a big deal.
Evander grabbed my arm once again as he began to walk back to the car. I followed behind him keeping my head low.
"Where you guys going?" Tom called out.
I looked back watching Evander walking closer to him while dragging me behind him.
"I got things to handle" Evander grinned reaching his hand out for a handshake.
Tom looked down at his hand laughing.
"Stay for the race" he laughed turning around. "It's about to start" he continued turning around one more time.
