Finally, after much hard work on the trio's part, Katarina Stratford would be attending Bogey's party with Patrick Verona.

Juliet was so excited, she had forgotten about her calculus test she had that day.

Unfortunately for her, Michael's tutoring hadn't been enough to outweigh her laziness. For the first time since the beginning of freshman year, Juliet Chilton had received a sixty-three.

Disappointed, she ran to find Michael to set up more study sessions. When suddenly she was stopped by Adriana.

"Okay, real talk," the girl started, "are you avoiding me?"

The blonde was taken aback by her best friend's words. "Adri, do you really think that? I would never. You're my best friend!"

"And you're mine, so why do I never see you now? And don't give me any of the schoolwork crap, because I've seen you with those two nobodies all the time."

"Okay, they're not nobodies. They're nice guys and my friends." Juliet frowned. "And really, I have just been busy with school."

"Really? Who were you running off to just now then?"

The blonde remained silent as Adriana scoffed. "Right. I'll see you later, then."

"Wait, Adriana!" The girl called out, following her friend.

Cameron saw her and stepped in front of her. "Juliet, guess-"

"Not now!" She frowned, and pushed the boy out of the way.

She didn't even bother to turn around and see the shocked and hurt look on his face.

Finally catching up with her friend, Juliet spun her around.

"What!"

"Look, you're right." She began. "I have been a bad friend. But I promise, I have been spending most of my time outside of school doing schoolwork. I've with Micheal and Cameron so much because I've been helping them with...something."

"Something?" Adriana asked with her eyebrow raised.

"I can't really explain. But it doesn't matter, what matters is that you're right. And I am sorry. Can you forgive me?"

"Do you promise to spend more time with me and the others instead of them?"

Juliet nodded with a smile. "I swear."

"You're lucky I can never stay mad at you." The girl laughed as she pulled her friend into a hug.

Juliet was so relieved, she didn't even realize how she had acted towards Cameron in the hallway.

And she wouldn't until later that night.

•••••••

Juliet was true to her word, she had spent that entire Friday afternoon with her old friends.

They drove around, ate, and when it came time to get ready for the party at Bogey's, the girls all gathered in Adriana's room.

"Okay girls," the brunette smirked, "how about a little pregame?"

The room erupted in cheers as the girl revealed a full bottle of vodka.

"Where did you get this?" One of their friends, Sasha, asked amazed.

"That's my secret. Now who's in!"

They each took turns drinking it, until it got to Juliet. "Not sure about it tonight. Sorry guys."

Adriana frowned and moved towards her. "Oh come on, don't tell me we lost party Julie to school too. Live a little!"

The blonde laughed and thought back on freshman year, when she was able to drink a bottle of vodka like it was water. But she also thought about how at the time she was always either partying or with Joey skipping class.

Sometimes she missed her carelessness. It was a hell of a lot more fun than the pressure of being an honor roll student.

"Y'know what," she finally said, "hand me the bottle."

The room cheered as the girl began to chug.
