8. Meeting the Arthur family again.

"Ah, look Amelia is here." Grandpa said.

"Oh my god! Amy...honey..." Mrs. Arthur walked towards Amelia and hugged her. Tears were rolling down from her eyes. "How are you sweetie?" She asked.

Amelia was confused as she couldn't remember her. "I..I am...fine." She whispered.

"The little Amy has grown so much." Mrs. Arthur smiled with tears in her eyes and caressed Amelia's cheeks. "I am so happy you are healthy and fine." "I am so happy..." She started crying more and hugged her tightly.

Amelia looked at her grandma and grandpa. They also had some tears in their eyes. Her grandma smiled at her softly and spoke, "She is Lisandra Arthur and he..." pointed at Mr. Arthur, "is Chris Arthur." She spoke, "You must have forgotten them after your accident. And those two..." pointed at the twins, "were your best friends, Alexander Arthur and his twin Arnold Arthur. You three were inseparable, always had each other's back." She smiled softly when she spoke.

Amelia looked her and just nodded. "I..I am sorry....I can't remember....you guys..."

"No sweetheart....don't say sorry....it's not your fault..." Mr. Arthur spoke and stood up. He walked towards her and hugged her and kissed her forehead. "It's not your fault..." Amelia felt as if she is getting a motherly and fatherly hug after years.

All of them sat back on the couch and the elders went back to their talking. Amelia sat beside her grandma and grandpa, she was lost in her thought. She was staring outside the window and lost in her own world. Arnold was busy with his phone while his twin brother Alexander was watching her with an unreadable expression. Both of them were lost in their thought.

When the hour hand of the clock went at eight Amelia's grandma stood up from her seat and called them for dinner. "You all come for dinner, it's already ready." She walked towards the kitchen and all of them followed her except Alexander and Amelia. Arnold stood up from his seat and patted his brother's back and broke him out of his thoughts, "Let's go man." He walked out of the room to the kitchen. Alexander nodded and stood up. He took a step towards Amelia and waved his hand in front of her face. Amelia jerked out of her thoughts and looked up at him.

"What?"

"Your granny called for dinner."

She nodded and said, "I will come in a bit...you go."

"Okay....princess." He ran off to the kitchen.

"Tch...idiot.." Murmured under her breathe.

Time skips after Dinner

After dinner was done Mrs. Arthur was helping Amelia's granny to wash the dishes and Mr. Arthur was having a talk with Amelia's grandpa in the living room.

While, Amelia was sitting at the patio and she was staring at the night sky. She was lost in her thought. Thoughts of her parents. She was trying to remember her parents and how their life had been before the accident. Even though she can't remember everyone before her accident, but tries to find the missing pieces of her life.

Suddenly someone tapped her shoulder breaking her out of her thoughts. She turned her face and saw Alexander and Arnold standing behind her.

"Can we sit beside you?" Arnold asked.

Amelia nodded and turned her face back to the sky. Both of them sat on the either side of her.

"What are you looking at, Li?"

Amelia turned her face towards him. "What did you just called me?"

"Li.....Why?"

"Li? Why?"

"uh...cause we called you Li since childhood?"

"Is that an answer or a question?"

"Both." He beamed suddenly.

Amelia stared at him for few seconds and that was when Alexander spoke. "He called you Li because you have Li in your name....Amelia....Li"

Amelia turned her head towards left, now looking at Alexander. "Why not Lia...Li is an odd nick name."

"I don't know. He just named you Li and I named you princess." Alexander chuckled and said.

She turned her head back to the sky and kept quiet.

"What were you thinking about?" Arnold asked.

"Nothing."

"Nothing? What do you mean 'nothing'?"

"Nothing means nothing."

"Come on share your thoughts with your childhood buddies."

Amelia again stared at Arnold and said blankly. "I am thinking how you twins are so annoying."

"Hey what have I done this time!?" Alexander exclaimed.

She turned her head to look at him. Again with that blank tone she said, "Right. You did nothing." She turns her head back to the sky.

Half an hour passed, three of them sitting in silence in the patio staring at the night sky with Arnold's occasional sharing and bickering about his thoughts on random things.

"Arnold, Alex come on let's go." Mr. Arthur called from the hallway.

Both of them stood up. Alexander gave his hand to Amelia to stand up. She looked at his hand then at him. She took his hand and stood up. Arnold patted her shoulder and walked inside. Alexander kept standing while looking at her.

"Won't you go?" Amelia asked.

"Hug." He said all of a sudden.

"Huh?"

"I want a hug."

"Go to hell." She narrowed her eyebrows and was going to walk inside the house. And at that moment Alexander hold her wrist and pulled her back towards him and wrapped her arms around her and hugged her tightly. She gasped and was slammed towards his chest. Her hands lay flat on his chest. She was now trapped in his arms. He nuzzled his face in her hair and kissed her head.

After few seconds he pulled back and kissed her cheeks and walked inside the house. Amelia was standing like a statue at the place staring at the front wall thinking what actually happened right now. She was jerked out of her thoughts when her granny called her. She walked inside and said goodbye to the Arthurs family. 

At 10:30 P.M. the Arthur family said goodbye to the Carson family and drove back to their house. 

"Grandma, Grandpa Goodnight." Amelia said and gave a kiss to both of their cheeks.

"Goodnight honey." Both the elderly persons said in unison.

She walked upstairs to her room and closed the door. She took her comfy pyjamas and went inside the washroom to get changed and do her night routine.

After getting changed she drank water and switched off the lights. She lay on her bed and closed her eyes. Amelia's thought went back to her past. Trying to remember the missing pieces of her life before the accident took place. She tried to remember Alexander and Arnold, who are supposed to be her best friends. She tries to remember her days with her parents. But only few of them were only coming in her mind. Only few memories and others in haze or lost, somewhere deep inside her memory.

While lost in thought, Amelia doesn't even know when she fell asleep.
