TW: Miscarriage

AUTUMN'S POV:
Nine weeks earlier, myself and Winter found out that I was pregnant. It had been a great nine weeks, we bought loads for our child, a cot waiting to be built in the living room, toys and almost everything a child could ask for. I had to go to the hospital today for a quick checkup just to make sure everything was okay, Winter held my hand the whole way through. I already knew the result and we hadn't even started the procedure yet, earlier on in the day I felt a throbbing, sharp pain in my abdomen. It was a gut wrenching feeling and a pain that one should never have to experience amongst their lifetime.
The result was a negative one, the doctor walked into the room with a broken smile on her face, "Hello love are you Autumn Knight?" I replied with a simple yes, she then went to greet Winter before telling us the devastating news, "Miss Knight, Mr Fortune, I am so sorry to have to inform you that you have in fact had a miscarriage and we have not found the cause, this grief is hard for one to deal with day to day so if you have any further problems or feel you have no hope then please do get in touch with someone, you are not alone in this." I went completely silent and just nodded, not wanting to carry on with the conversation.

WINTER'S POV:
As soon as we heard the news that we no longer had a future with our child, I felt a horrible sense of shock and shame, I felt terrible for Autumn, she had wanted a child since she was 14, it had been her only hope to give her child the childhood that she never had, as well as feeling terrible for her I also just wanted to burst into tears in the spot.
We arrived home in the evening after filling out the paperwork, I twisted the key and opened the door, having to cover Autumns eyes from all the things we had bought our child which was no longer there, she was crying on my shoulder in the car and all I could do was hold her, I carried her upstairs, she was broken to pieces. We sat up against the headboard in bed, Autumn sitting in between my legs while I stroked her hair. All I could do was think about the child we had just lost, if they were still growing then we would've named her Bryony like the plant if she was a girl and Damien if he was a boy, such beautiful names now buried, all I could do was think, think, think.

OH MY WORD THIS MADE ME FUCKING SOB, I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE TO MAKE THIS BUT IT IS HONESTLY GREAT TO SPREAD AWARENESS AND I FELT LIKE BECAUSE IT WAS INCLUDED IN THE REAL STORYLINE THEN IT HAD TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS ONE OTHERWISE THERE WOULD'VE BEEN NO POINT IN IT. BUT I LOVE WINTUMN.
