Jin made sure to take his time as he quietly slipped out of his daughter's room after giving her a gentle goodnight kiss. Despite arriving home late, he always prioritized checking in on her and giving her a loving goodnight kiss. He knew how much she adored these moments when he was home. After leaving her room, he went to his and Jungkook's, expecting to find Jungkook there. However, upon not finding him, he let out a weary sigh and set off to search for him elsewhere.

As Jin pushed open the door to our home gym, he saw Jungkook, his shirt off, fiercely focused on practicing his boxing with the punching bag. Leaning against the closed door, Jin observed him without making my presence known. With every forceful punch Jungkook threw, Jin noticed a hint of frustration in his movements, which furrowed his brows as he watched him.

Jin inquired, "What's got you so frustrated?" He didn't bother hiding his presence anymore. He observed as Jungkook stopped mid-punch, turning to face him. "You're home. When did you arrive?" Jungkook asked as he approached Jin, unfastening the straps of his boxing gloves as he drew nearer.

"Just a little while ago," Jin began to say before he was abruptly silenced by Jungkook, who pulled him in tightly and kissed his lips. Their lips quickly melded together, their tongues intertwining in a passionate kiss that revealed their growing desperation to be closer. With a hint of hesitation and a gasp for air, they reluctantly separated, Jungkook being the first to break their kiss.

His gaze slowly traveled along Jin's enticing figure. Jin's face mirrored Jungkook's as he observed him from head to toe, taking in the moisture that shimmered from his chest to his well-defined abs. "I was under the impression that you wouldn't be working late today," Jungkook commented, his attention drawn back to Jin's face. He locked eyes with Jin, who reciprocated the gaze.

"I didn't plan on it, but I got called in at the last minute. I texted you."

"I received your text, but as we previously discussed, I thought you wouldn't be working late today. Did I misunderstand our agreement?" Jungkook asked as he took off his other boxing gloves and threw them into the bin with the first one.

Jin's gaze followed his every move before he spoke. "I understand our agreement, but it was last minute. They needed me there."

"Luna and I needed you here as well."

"Jungkook-"

"Please, Seokjin. We had an agreement, and I expected you to stick to it, just as you would expect from me," Jungkook said as he closed the gap between himself and Jin. "Is there something or someone at the hospital more important to you than Luna and me?"

Jin sighed, "Don't be ridiculous. If it makes you happy, I will take a break from working at the hospital."

Jungkook couldn't hide his surprise as he questioned, "You are?"

"Yes. You are right about everything; there's quite a bit for me to handle in setting up the practice. I believe it's best for me to focus more of my time there for the time being. Perhaps in the winter, I could resume working a few hours, but for now, I need to take a break," Jin stated as he averted his gaze from Jungkook.

Jungkook was slightly perplexed, but he still felt a sense of warmth upon hearing the statement. "That's great. It means we'll have more opportunities to spend time together, especially with Luna."

Jin smiled and nodded, "Yes, we will."

"Before I forget, I had my parents agree to watch Luna next weekend as I have a surprise for you."
