My phone started ringing loudly and Milo bounced his head up and down to the tune of Uptown Funk. No matter what, you just can't stop listening to that song.

But the sudden ringing caused the golden book to fall from my hands. I picked up the phone, while picking up the book.

"Destiny Owen, where are you?" A loud voice boomed through the speaker of the phone.

Milo groaned lightly, as if he was understanding my thoughts, and hung his head down.

"Yes Mother, I'm in the garage. I'll be there in a minute." I said while getting up and brushing the dirt off my shorts.

"Better make that 30 seconds. No later than that. Got it?" The screeching voice continued.

"Yes mother dearest." I said and heard a beep later, signalling that she had cut the call.

I groaned and looked at the book and its shimmering cover.

Milo barked, telling me to hurry up.

I quickly kept the book in the back seat of my car and made my way towards the door. Before I could open the door with my key, Mrs. Rose opened the door and gave me a warm smile.

"Good morning, Rosie." I said with a smile on my face.

"Hush dear! Go and meet you mother first, before she unveals her inner hulk." She said and pushed me towards my mother's room.

I half ran-half jogged towards the room, with Milo on my heels. I knocked on the wooden door full of intricate designs.

"Come in." An overly happy voice said from inside.

I went inside and saw my Mother sitting on the couch near her table. She removed her glasses and tried to give me a smile. I walked towards her and sat on the couch, with some distance between us.

"Oh my! You took 40 second to come over here." She said and crossed her legs which were partially covered by a black pencil skirt.

"Sorry Mother," I said and hung my head down just when Milo came in and gave my feet a lick.

"Ew! Don't let that swine come near my couch." Her grey eyes clearly depicted the disgust.

Anger started boiling inside me. So before I could do any irrational thing, though my Mother deserved it, I took Milo out of the room.

When I came back, I saw my Mother adjusting her perfect red curls. Grey eyes and red hair was a different combination, but my mother managed to pull it off.

"So Destiny, I'm going to go to Dubai for a month to help your Father with the business. Don't do any irrational thing. That's all." My Mother said while getting up.

"Okay," I said and she gave me a small side hug and made her way out.

I sighed loudly and plopped on the couch. Thinking about what to do for the rest of the day, I went to my room.

My room was the size of a big apartment, no kidding, and I had designed my room the way I wanted. The room was pentagonal, with one side covered with pictures. Milo had a good share of space in that, so did my two idiotic best friends.

The side adjacent to that, had a sliding door, which opened to the bath area complete with a huge bath tub.

The third side was a door to my huge wardrobe overfull with a good collection of shoes. I love to dress up and to wear nice clothes, who doesn't?

The fourth side was my favourite element of the whole design. There was a ladder which took me to small opening above. A comfortable and large bed was placed above, directly below a glass ceiling, which gave me a beautiful view at night. A pole was placed near the ladder, so that I could use it to come down when I felt a little adventurous. Below this whole thing, was a very soft couch, which was hidden behind a huge rack of books. It was like a room within a room. Cool right?
