[34] What's Going On?

Elena and Carolina had just walked in and we were all relaxing in the living room, while Ro and Enzo went out. I'm not gonna see the relationship that Ro and Enzo have makes me jealous. They made it clear that they see each other as mother and son. I focus back on the conversation that happening in the room.

"...Anyways, let's talk about something else..." Carolina looked at everyone before her stare stopped at me. I smile and raise my eyebrows.

"What do you want to talk about?"

" I've noticed that you and the Mikaelson have been getting pretty close lately. How's it going?" Caroline and Elena both have a big smile on their faces as they wait for me to answer the question.

" We're good" is all I say. We haven't talked about whether we were boyfriend and girlfriend, we've just been with each other and getting to know each other.

"That's all we get! C'mon, you're dating the Aurora Mikealson." Elena is at the edge of her seat, needing no more information.

" Look there's nothing to know, ok? We've just been getting to know each other, we haven't put a label on what we are. We're in the talking stage." I did not like the way the two women were looking at me, so I decided to stand up and stand next to the fireplace.

" Last time I checked, the talking stage doesn't involve sleeping in the same bed for the past two months," Caroline smirks at the combat she just made.

Before I can say anything the front door opens Ro and Elijah walk in, and immediately there's tension in the room. Something is going on between the two siblings but none dares to ask.

" Can we think about this before we do anything?!" Elijah was annoyed, while Ro had stopped walking when he finished his question.

" I am thinking! I'm thinking about everything! I can't let her know my weakness, cause you and I both know that she will push done on that weakness like a wound to make me do anything!" Ro was staring back at Elijah.

" Look I don't know what happened between the two of you but I'm sure you two can talk it out". Before he could finish his sentence, Ro had pushed him against the wall with her hand wrapped around his neck.

" Exactly Elijah! You don't know what happened!" I could tell her hand tightened more around his neck. At that point, Damon was standing up with Elena behind him, while Caroline watched from the couch.

I slowly walked around the couch until I was a few feet away from them. "Ro... Let him go". Even though she didn't look at me I could tell that she was listing. A minute later her hand drops to her side as Elijah takes a breath in. She sped upstairs, everyone was looking at Elijah with a confused and shocked expression.

" Elijah, what's going on?" Elena asks while moving in front of Stefan. Elijah looks at us while straightening out his suit.

"Klaus has informed me that our mother has been awakened..."

" Klaus is awake?!" Both Caroline and Elena said at the same time, but with different tones.

"When were you gonna tell us?" Elena paces around the room.

"There was no need to inform you."

"He is out to kill Elena!" Damon yells.

I'm not surprised that his awake. While everyone was worrying about Klaus, I was trying to figure out why their mother being here had such an impact on Ro. She never mentioned her mother nor have I seen pictures. 

"Wait. Why does it matter if your mother has awakened?" I asked making everyone stop their conversation and look at me, then to Elijah. 

" I don't know. One minute me and she were talking and then I told her about our mother and she just rushed out of the Grill..." Eljiha shrugged and looked around. "Ro and our mother used to be very close before Mikael had turned us, but after that, they never were around each other, it was like they were strangers." 

As everyone was taking in the story, Ro speed walks past the living room going out through the front door. Everyone looks at each other before following her out the door. " Aurora!" Elijah walked closer up to her as she put her bags in the trunk of the car. Why is she leaving? 

" I'm not going to argue with you, Elijah! I have to go." She walks to the side of the car opening the driver's door.

"Ro, stop!" I shouted. If she wasn't going to talk to Elijha then she needed to talk to me. She can't up and does not give me an explanation. She froze when she heard me calling out to her, she turned around to face me but didn't make eye contact. I walk up to her so that I'm standing in front of her. I slightly lean toward her cause of my height, and she looks around as if trying to find someone. 

"Talk to me..." I spoke softly. I lean my head to the side to see her quickly looking at everyone before looking somewhere else. I look over at them "Could you guys give us a minute, please?" Everyone nods their head and walks into the house, it was not just me and her. 

"Ro, what going on?" 

"It's nothing..." She looks up at me, and I can tell that she is lying to me.

"If it's nothing then why were you ready to leave without saying anything?" I said it with a little annoyance. She wasn't being honest with me, we've been good the past couple of weeks and I feel like we're starting to go backwards. Once again she looked around, making sure that no one was there.

" Esther, my m-mother, is back and there are just a couple of things that I need to do before she and I see each other. Thats all! You don't need to make it that big a deal." She spoke back with more attitude. 

"It's not the fact that you needed to do something, it's the fact that you were ready to leave without talking to me! You weren't even looking at me! When you were confused that you felt something for me, you said that you would try and that I would teach you. This is not you trying, this feels like you running away! You're supposed to talk to me!" I took a few steps back, needing to cool myself off. 

" I-I'm sorry. You're right ok, but I need to do something, and I can't wait. I have to go..." Her voice was low.

" Ok..." I nod my head and walk back to her. I kissed her temple and started walking away. Before I could go far, I felt a hand grab my bicep and pull me back. I turned to face Ro waiting to see what she wanted. 

" I'll tell you what you want to know when it's all over, but right now I need to go." She held eye contact the whole time. Her eyes were telling me that she was being honest and that she wanted me to trust her. 

"Where are you going?"

" New York..."

" When will you be back?"

"As soon as I can" Silence surrounded us. Ro takes a step towards me, closing the gap between us. She looks at our surroundings and then slowly brings her face closer to mine. She stopped inches away from my lips, I decided to close the gap and connect our lips. Our kiss was slow and passionate. I placed my hand on her cheek pulling her closer to me.
