Skinshifters 📖

You know how normally in minecraft you can change your skin to anything you want at any time, Sabre has done some minor skin changes throughout RQ but that can be cannonised as outfit change..but what if it went further than that

Sabre in this au is what I like to call a Skinshifter, like a shapeshifter but a bit weaker and are restricted to humanoids only and no power or weakness mimicry, he can change his appearance to almost anything he pleases, clothing included

No one knows about it at the start but eventually some people do get in on the secret, Crystal Orange is the first to learn on accident due to witnessing Sabre experimenting with mimicking steves on the outskirts of the rainbow hub, but light, time, orange leader and...maybe almost the entire realm find out in one way and another

Now let's get into the fun stuff!

The faceless mini arc is going to get interesting because it's now basically a shapeshifter duel

Going to sneak into the yellow kingdom is going to be 10x easier...for just him lol, no yellow armor required

Shadow can skinshift too and when Sabre comes back sneaking into the rainbow kingdom turns into a game of among us where Sabre is the imposter because everyone is on high alert for anyone acting sus...by the end of that mess good luck keeping him out of literally anywhere 

During the Sol arc, Sabre lays low as an orange steve, when the demon arc hits he falls back onto that previous disguise till he gets comfortable in the village...and that disguise may or may not look a bit like a certain old friend that he lost along the way :) it's like a security blanket but you are the blanket

Shadow would 100% shift into Sabre's dead or currently hostile friends to taunt him during the first shadow arc, mans is that much of a drama queen

Shadow would also just straight up shift into regular Sabre during the 2nd shadow arc to emphasize his whole 'im the better Sabre' reasoning

This au has some really wild and funny possibilities to play around with, all with just adding one thing that we have all done a couple times (or a lot if you are a roleplayer) in our minecraft playtime
