The four dark figures sensed that someone was chasing them. Consequently, two of them split off to confront the pursuer, while the other two continued running with a burlap sack.

The two black-clad individuals assigned to stop Chen San quickly turned around. They drew sharp knives from their belts and lunged at Chen San, who was charging towards them.

With the attackers armed, Chen San had to proceed with caution. He first executed a wall kick, injuring one of the black-clad figures. He then bent forward to dodge a horizontal slash from the other attacker. Quickly recovering, he punched the knife-wielding attacker in the face.

"Bang!"

The attacker staggered back, screaming in pain.

But the situation wasn't over. The injured attacker got up from the ground and lunged at Chen San's stomach with his knife.

Chen San swiftly pulled back, increasing the distance between his stomach and the knife. At the same time, he firmly grasped the attacker's right hand holding the knife with his left hand.

The attacker attempted to thrust forward, but Chen San's grip was like an immovable force, pinning the attacker's hand.

Chen San didn't want to waste time. He twisted the attacker's right hand, preparing to disarm him.

For an average person, twisting an opponent's right hand with the weaker left hand would be nearly impossible due to the strength difference. However, Chen San's left hand was as strong as his right, allowing him to successfully twist the attacker's hand.his left hand, Shuang's entire arm was contorted, nearly breaking.

Suddenly, the black-clad figure stumbled backwards, continuously letting out惨叫.

The incident was not over yet. The injured black-clad figure managed to stand up from the ground and immediately lunged a knife towards Chen San's stomach.

Chen San quickly arched his back, widening the distance between his stomach and the knife, while simultaneously grasping the black-clad figure's right hand holding the knife with his left hand.

The black-clad figure attempted to stab forward again, but Chen San's hand felt like a heavy Mount Wuzhi, pressing down on his hand, rendering it immobile.

Not wanting to waste any time, Chen San twisted his left hand, manipulating the black-clad figure's right hand holding the knife, preparing to dodge the attack.

For an ordinary person, attempting to twist an enemy's right hand with their left hand would be an impossible task, as the left hand is generally weaker than the right, making it difficult to overcome the strength of the right hand. However, Chen San's left hand was well-trained, possessing strength comparable to his right hand, allowing him to manipulate the black-clad figure's right hand holding the knife.

"Ah!!!"

A scream of agony erupted as the black-clad attacker's right hand was twisted a full 360 degrees, causing excruciating pain. At this point, his hand was too weakened to hold onto the knife, which fell limply to the ground. Chen San swiftly grabbed the knife with his right hand and kicked the attacker, who was wearing a black hood that revealed only his eyes and mouth, sending him flying.

Chen San dealt with the two black-clad attackers in just a few seconds. Now armed with a knife, he quickly pursued the other two hooded figures, hoping to catch up with them.

Behind the large restaurant was a narrow alley with corners at both ends. Beyond the corners were the wider alleys that flanked the restaurant, where patrons typically parked their vehicles.

The two black-clad figures carrying the burlap sack turned the corner, heading into the right alley beside the restaurant. Chen San suspected they were likely to have a getaway plan, otherwise, they wouldn't have dared to head down this alley. After all, both alleys flanking the restaurant lead to the main street; even the boldest criminals wouldn't brazenly carry a wriggling burlap sack down a busy street.

Rescuing the hostage was urgent, and Chen San hoped he could catch up in time.

""Chapter 20: Rescuing the Hostage""

After a two-second sprint, Chen San reached the corner and turned into the large alley on the right side of the restaurant. He saw the two black-clad figures heading towards a white van parked by the restaurant.

At that moment, the van's door was already open. If these two black-clad figures managed to toss the burlap sack into the van and jump in, Chen San would have no way to stop them, unless he had a gun.

Determined to prevent their escape and rescue the hostage, Chen San threw the knife at one of the black-clad figures' thighs and dashed forward.

It was a race against time—Chen San needed to neutralize the remaining attacker before the knife arrived.

The knife, being thin and facing little resistance, moved swiftly, and Chen San ran at full speed to keep pace.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Swoosh!"

In three seconds, the knife struck one of the attackers' calves, causing him to collapse and lose his ability to run.

The other attacker, however, hurriedly grabbed the burlap sack and continued towards the white van.

The van was now only three meters away, and it was quickly closing in. The driver, realizing something was wrong, started the engine and began to move out of the parking spot.

Since the van was wedged between other cars against the restaurant's wall, the driver needed to maneuver to clear the space.

Chen San was about six meters away from the van, and with no obstacles, he could catch up to the attacker carrying the burlap sack within two seconds.

But reality was harsh and rarely went as planned. The injured black-clad figure produced a sharp knife and blocked Chen San's path.

"Who are you to stop me, you disabled fool?" Chen San dismissed the attacker's challenge.

He sprinted forward, leaped into the air, and kicked with all his might.

The injured attacker, who had intended to stab Chen San's foot, was caught off guard by Chen San's speed. Before he could even raise his hand, Chen San's kick sent him flying.

The forceful impact made the attacker tumble through the air and crash into the running attacker ahead.

The second attacker staggered, lost his balance, and fell to the ground. The burlap sack he was carrying also fell beside him.

"Ah!"

The scream that followed was unmistakably female. Despite the muffled nature of the sound, Chen San was now certain that the sack contained a person.

The black-clad attacker who tried to block him not only failed to stop Chen San but inadvertently helped him by disrupting the other attacker's progress. It was a costly blunder.

The attacker he had kicked was now immobile on the ground, while the other attacker quickly got up and reached for the burlap sack, attempting to carry it away.

Meanwhile, the white van had managed to maneuver out of the parking spot and was now approaching the attacker who was reaching for the sack.

Seconds later, the van stopped right next to the attacker.

Seeing the open door so close, the attacker was overjoyed. If he could just toss the sack into the van, his job would be done.

But just as he grabbed the sack, Chen San arrived and kicked him to the ground.

After kicking the attacker down, Chen San immediately jumped into the van and incapacitated the driver. He then tied up the injured driver and the two black-clad figures in the alley, tossing them aside.

With these tasks completed, Chen San returned to the alley behind the restaurant to check on the other two injured attackers.

Upon arrival, he found the alley empty, indicating that the other two black-clad figures had escaped through the other side.
