Reluctantly, Chen San turned and walked back to the wriggling burlap sack. He wondered, "Who could it be this time? Hopefully, it's not another oddball."

He crouched down and slowly began to untie the ropes binding the sack. The kidnappers were extremely cautious, tying several knots, including some with dead ends, which made the task quite challenging. Additionally, the constant movement of the sack added to his difficulties.

"Don't move! I'm here to save you!" Chen San explained while trying to calm the person inside the sack and carefully untying the ropes.

Inside the sack, He Yu recognized Chen San's voice and was taken aback. "This voice... could it be him?" Although they had been apart for only three or four days, she remembered his voice clearly.

Despite her initial doubts about her rescuer's identity, He Yu was immensely relieved and grateful. She had been in utter despair, fearing what might happen to her if these black-hooded villains took her away. The moment she was stuffed into the sack, she felt the world collapse around her, and her vulnerability became painfully clear. Though she had disliked Chen San, his image suddenly provided her with a sense of security. This realization made her appreciate his importance.

"No matter who it is, I can't miss this opportunity," He Yu resolved to offer a substantial reward to hire her rescuer as her personal bodyguard.

The person inside the sack had remained still, which eased Chen San's task considerably. Although he initially considered cutting the sack open with his knife, he feared accidentally injuring the person inside, so he chose the more cumbersome method of untying the ropes.

After several minutes, he finally untied the ropes. He carefully pulled down the sack to reveal the person inside. As he did so, he noticed a familiar fragrance—one that was specific to a certain individual.

"Could it be that woman again?" Chen San wondered, feeling a bit reluctant. If it turned out to be her, he might reconsider helping, worried about being falsely accused or slandered.

With mixed feelings, Chen San quickly removed the burlap sack, revealing the captive. The sight of the person made him want to retreat immediately because the captive was none other than He Yu, the woman who had caused him trouble before.

He Yu was momentarily stunned when she saw Chen San. She hadn't expected to encounter him again.

Despite her surprise, she felt both happy and moved. Chen San, however, felt the exact opposite, his instinct was to flee at the sight of her.

"Mm! Mm!" He Yu anxiously made muffled noises and shook her head vigorously, hoping Chen San would not leave her. She was bound and gagged, unable to move or make clear cries for help. If Chen San left, she didn't know if she would end up back in the hands of the villains.

Chen San heard her urgent noises and hesitated, torn between helping and abandoning the rescue. "Since I've gone this far, why not finish the job? But if I'm falsely accused again, what should I do?" His internal conflict raged on.

Seeing He Yu's tears, Chen San's heart ached. A delicate girl crying so heartbreakingly made him feel deeply pained.

"Ah!" He sighed and walked over to her, removing the cloth from her mouth and gently wiping her tears with it. "Don't be afraid! I won't leave you behind."

A simple statement from Chen San warmed He Yu's heart and brought her a great sense of security. She was overwhelmed with emotion, and tears flowed even more freely.

"Don't cry, don't cry. The bad guys are dealt with; you're safe now!" Chen San gently wiped away her tears and spoke soothingly.

In that moment, He Yu was like a wounded child, in desperate need of care. Listening to Chen San's comforting words, she could no longer hold back and collapsed into his embrace.

She hadn't felt such warmth in over a decade. At this moment, she just wanted to be a quiet woman, resting by Chen San's side, savoring his warmth. Though she knew it was inappropriate, she could not help herself.

"Uh... Is this another attempt at 'playing the victim'?" Chen San felt uneasy, concerned that He Yu might be tricking him.

After a brief pause, he quickly pushed her away and said, "I'll untie the ropes binding you to make you more comfortable."

Without waiting for a response, he went behind her to untie the ropes. He Yu felt a mix of disappointment and happiness. She was disappointed that even with her advances, Chen San did not respond, yet happy to see his true nature. Despite his flawed thoughts, he exhibited strong self-discipline and did not harm her.

"If I had hired him as my personal bodyguard earlier, I wouldn't be in this situation now. I'm glad I didn't miss out on such a good bodyguard," He Yu thought with relief.

As Chen San untied the ropes, he found himself distracted when he reached the ropes around He Yu's chest. As he removed the ropes, her clothing shifted, and he felt a surge of hormones.

"Whew! Big breasts are trouble!" Chen San forced himself to look away, trying to maintain his composure, and quickly continued untying the ropes around her chest.
