The night was dark and the trees blotted out the stars. Making it dark beyond measure the shadows swirled around them keeping them forever trapped in the dark clutches of the forest.
"Do you know where we are?" asked Y/n confused and very very scared.
"I thought you did!" Lightspinner says her voice rising as panic sets in, as they both realize that they are hopelessly and completely lost. The wind whistling through the branches becomes menacing. The forest seems to be mocking them as they stand back to back afraid of what might happen. Suddenly out of the corner of Lightspinner's eye... a glow coming from behind the branches. It was a warm glow like one that would come from a torch or a lantern, it was becoming but odd. Looking at the sunny and warm glow Lightspinner points,
"Look!" her eyes glimmered maybe they had been found and were safe, but another part of her mind doubted it because the festival doesn't stop till the moon is at its highest.
"They've found us!" Y/n says running towards it happily. Weaving quickly in and out of the forest getting farther and farther from her and closer and closer to it.
"Wait!" Lightspinner yells but you were too far, damn you're fast and curse you for making her run. "Why do I have so many idiot friends?" She dives after you through the foliage tackling you to the ground then pulls you behind a tree. Covering your mouth and wrapping her arms around you to keep you still. You can't help but blush as you feel how strong she is. She waits for you to stop struggling before she whispers into your ear,
"What were you thinking?" she says somewhat angry.
"But I saw my mom" Y/n whispers back.
Lightspinner looks back around the tree which is closer than she thought to the light.
"But look at it closer" she says pointing.
Y/n looks over Lightspinners shoulder and looks at her mom again this time noticing she looked... glitchy like some forgot to finish downloading the video her moves were sudden and ridged.
"Your right she looks odd" Y/n says ducking back behind the tree.
"I have a feeling I know what-" Lightspinner says but is cut off by her mom calling her name
"LightSpinner! LightSpinner! Come here we are looking for you!" Lightspinner looks over and her mom is next to Moonwatcher. And she felt the longing that Y/n must have felt looking at her mom the urge to run over and hug her and tell her how sorry she was for running off. Without thinking she walks forward a plan formulating in her head as she inches closer, closer and then the beast pounces!
A single scream echoes into the woods and then it goes silent not a single sound can be heard.
