As a king, he shows a great leadership. He took his role as the king seriously. He is kind enough to make sure his subjects are fed and safe. But not kind enough to be viewed with fondness. He is respectable king but not loved. He is very strict with the rules, the old ones. He has an obsession on maintaining the tradition. He is easily angered by disobedience.
As a father, he is rather uptight. He couldn't communicate well with his children. He is also overly strict at times. However, he truly cares for them even if he couldn't put it into action or words.
As a husband, he fulfill his part of the deal perfectly. He is loyal to the queen and treats her fairly. He respects her as his partner. Often times, he would be asking the queen's opinion on certain things rather than the Minister's. He trusts in her more than anyone else in the kingdom.

Backstory:
Arthur was originally the second child. He wasn't supposed to be the heir of the throne. When he was born, it was said that the gods disapprove of him. This causes an uproar within the people of Anduria. The king's solution to this is to lock up the queen along with the baby, proclaiming that she was the cause and should be locked at bay. The queen, distraught with betrayal descent into madness. He had to be separated from her when she harms him with a broken piece of wood. This leaves him with a scar on the left side of his face.
The queen then managed to escape her imprisonment, she went on a rampage and when she was speared down, she had managed to strangle the king, causing him to d!3 of a heart attack. His brother who was only 9 was crowned as the king. His brother was a kind king, too kind that he was tricked more often than not. When he reaches the age of 25 he began getting sickly. On his 26th birthday an annual ball was held. Arthur meets the now queen there. Both of them being 17 at the time. He was already ridiculed for not being wed and so was she albeit she had it worse. They became friends in a short amount of time and before long they make a deal to wed each other as to not be forced to marry someone else. The week after their marriage, his brother gives in to the sickness.
He became the king, despite being called the curse child his whole life. No one dares to object his coronation . After all, he did married the daughter of a goddess.

He spent his early year as the king, fixing their financial problem due to his brother 'kind' spending.
