As a queen, she is seen as a strict and uptight lady. She is not as obsessive towards the rules like the king but they both loathed disobedience. She usually will be the person determining punishments if there were no written rules for it yet. She is fair in her judgement and most of the time the council will agree with her. Her position is seen as equal if not higher than the king due to her mixed blood. However, the only person she truly respect in court is the king. She cares of her people and is known for visiting villages and town to see how the people are doing.
As a mother, she is very doting on her children. She treats them equally and loved them with all her being. She also is protective on them, not that she wouldn't let them get hurt, she just wouldn't let anyone talks poorly of them. Her childrens are probably her only soft spot.
As a person, she exudes the air of authority with inhuman beauty. Even so, she has a playful nature that she'd show only to a handful of people like her own children. She is also a romantic at heart, she longs to love a woman and be love in return, even if their love has to stay hidden.

Backstory:
Amelia didn't remember when it all started, one day people just start worshipping her. And it has been that way for most of her life. Her father a village chief, had proclaimed that she is the daughter of his with the goddess of Youth. A priestess for the goddess was called to confirm this and it turns out to be true. The goddess herself was said to confirm it by answering the priestess' prayer.
Being half god makes her social status higher than anyone else in her village. She was often invited to the castle when she was young. She didn't remember much of the visits, else than the fact that she gets treated with good food, new clothes and learn spells with the current sorceress.
As she reaches teenage years, many suitors begins to ask her hand in marriage but she declines. She only has rights to do so as she is half god. Usually, the father has to be the one accepting or declining. The constant rejection causes many to frown on her and some even started rumors of her being a side woman or infertile. Her status didn't keep others from badmouthing and ridiculing her.
At the age of 17, she was invited for the king's 26th birthday celebration. It was the first time she actually talks to another person her age, Prince Arthur. They both got along very well. Upon realizing that the young prince is in the same situation as her, she told him to ask for her hand in marriage. The future king was reluctant at first, but she convince him. If the current king passes away, the prince will have to be crowned and the people will protest as he is said to be cursed. But if he were to wed her, a demigod. The people might accept him.Thinking that their marriage cleanse him off his curse.
They make the marriage work, they come to an agreement that they can do whatever they want behind each other back as long as no one else knows. She make use of this a lot, but the king doesn't. They agree to have only two children but they ended up with three as the second pregnancy bless them with twins.
