chapter fifteen
📍london, england
"Honestly like so childish, even if he knows, why would he care? So I fucked my ex, okay, get over it" Blake said annoyed taking a sip of her coffee
"Maybe is the fact that you lied to him?" Emily told her
Both girls had been out for coffee during their break and Blake had just kept rambling about how annoying Rafe was being with her when, in reality, they haven't said a single word to each other and just kept sending dirty looks to each other.
"I'm a pathological liar Em, I believe in little white lies" Blake replied sure of herself
"You really need to look into your morals" Charles commented. Oh yeah, he was also there.
"Charles, just get to know the context before you comment" Blake side eyed him
"Matt told me he is in a bad mood, maybe it can also be that" The blonde girl said finishing her almond milk iced latte
"I'm getting to the bottom of this, the bitch will have to tell me what the fuck is his problem" Blake stood up grabbing her iced americano while Charles and Emily just shared some looks.
Blake reminded herself maybe too many times that she needed to be professional and not be rude or a bitch to Rafe, even if he was being one, business is business.
She didn't know why she was so obsessed, she was the person that normally doesn't care but now she was fuming. Even more now that he was inside her father's office again and they didn't let her be a part of the negotiation.
"Be the future CEO my ass, he just wants me to do his dirty work and he just lands the deal" Blake scoffed as she sat down on her seat
"He's the boss, Blake, it's normal he wants to be the one to close the agreement" Emily tries to calm her friend down
"You know Taylor Swift has a song about this?" Blake narrowed her eyes "And if she has taught me something, it's to fuc-
"Blake" Her father opened his door "If you could stop shouting, it's distracting our client" he said and Blake just threw daggers at Rafe.
It was not her day.
Blake just kept working as normal, trying to ignore the fact that her lifelong enemy she made out with was closing a deal with her father and she was not being a part of it.
"Miguel, I don't care, just do whatever you need" Blake said into the phone as she smoked a cigarette
As always, she just had to be the one to take care of the dirty work.
"Then we will, just bail him him out I-
The conversation was cut short when Blake's phone was snatched out of her hands.
"What are you doing?" Blake turned around and faced Rafe
"Your voice was irritating me" he replied making her send daggers his way
"Leave me alone" she snatched the phone of his hands again "I'm working" she tried to turn around but he grabbed her waist
He didn't say anything, he just looked at her, his eyes showing the tension they were feeling at the moment.
"Rafe, stop. I'm over this" Blake got out of his grasp
"See you at dinner, Woods" he told her leaving her confused
But it didn't last long because five minutes later she was told she had to go to dinner to this fancy japanese restaurant with her father, Charles, Emily, Matt and Rafe, just excelent, she didn't even like sushi.
