Chapter 34: Prank

"We should get together more often" I suggested as Yeji and I walked outside the cafe
"I agree, but don't expect it" Yeji wore her hood and mask
"You better take my advice and be cautious" Yeji reminds
"Yeah yeah, I heard you" I took my hand into my pocket to fish out the car key

I pressed on the mini-remote

"Y/n is that-" Yeji noticed the key
"The JennieRubyJane Porsche? Yes" I continued her sentence
"Of course, it is, the Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo customized by Jennie-sunbaenim" Yeji added
"That's why those interviewers always find you, because you drive around on that" Yeji concludes
"Wait- you might be right" I shook my head thinking about it
"Well, it's a hard choice between this Porsche or Jennie's pink Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder" I added, walking up to it
"Both are her favorites?" Yeji asked
"Yeah, I can't help it. I always drive this when I miss Jennie" I wore a bitter smile

Yeji nods, I open the car door

"Hop in" I offered
"No, do you want to get into a dating scandal?" Yeji asked sarcastically
"Good point, but I can't call myself a great best friend-" My words were interrupted
"You are a great best friend, Y/n" Yeji intercepts
"Don't worry about me, my dorm is not too far from here anyway" Yeji adds, slowly walking away
"Fine, be safe. I'll see you soon?" I bid goodbye
"No, you won't. I'll be busy"

The elevator opened but then I noticed a few people holding huge and small boxes.

"Someone moving in?" I asked, creating a small conversation with the workers. I walked out of the elevator as they started walking in
"Quite the opposite, people are moving out" The man with a huge box answers, while his co-workers load the elevator
"I see" I replied shortly, walking up near my unit but a certain someone took my attention, she's in front of Blackpink's unit

I walked near her with a big smile on my face

"Jane-ssi?" I called, it was Chaeyoung's manager
"Kamjagiya-" Jane jumped a little, surprised by me
"Y/n-ssi?" She turns her head
"Are they back?" I asked looking around at the opened door of Blackpink's dorm

My smile fades. Looking at the unit, filled with boxes. 

"Unfortunately, not yet" Jane replies as she takes a box
"I hired a moving company to take Chaeyoung's stuff. I heard from Allison you'll be getting Jennie's things from here?" Jane asked
"Uh yeah, I thought she asked me to only get a few things" I looked at her confused
"Oh, you didn't know? The girls are going to live separately now. Given, that Jennie has already doing that for a few months now" Jane answers

I just nodded in response. Hearing Jane and the workers moving a few boxes.

"Oh and before I forget, Chaeyoung told me to give you this" Jane is holding a black guitar case
"She mentioned that it's a gift" Jane extends her arm to give it to me

I smiled abruptly before taking the heavy guitar case. Park Chaeyoung's name was engraved on it with pink stickers on it that spelled her stage name: Rosé.

"We're leaving" Jane caught my daydreaming
"Uh yeah" I replied looking up
"Do me a favor and lock the dorm when you leave, will you?" Jane asks as the last few workers walk out of the dorm
"Consider it done" I replied, taking my steps inside the dorm

I closed the door behind me. Looking around at the empty Blackpink dorm. Remembering a few memories.

The theme of Blackpink around the dorm is now removed. Curtains, posters, decorations, and stickers that were once there, are now gone.

I put down the guitar case slowly before walking up near Jennie's digital piano. Remembering the late nights when Jennie and Chaeyoung would play music on it.

Turning around, I also noticed Jisoo's personal computer. I smiled bitterly, remembering the swear words she would always say while playing Overwatch

Beside it, is their huge flatscreen TV. I used to compete against Lisa playing JUST DANCE which resulted in funny reactions from them.

I took my attention to Chaeyoung's guitar case, opening it as I kneeled. A small note was left on the electric guitar

You mentioned you never had an electric guitar. Hope you're not missing us too much!

I didn't notice but my eyes were starting to get watery. Feeling a bit emotional. I used my sleeve to cover my eyes before sniffing as I started to feel my nose stuffed

"We were supposed to surprise you, but you seem to be miserable enough already"

Jennie's room door opened revealing two familiar people

"It's been a while, Y/n-ah" Lisa smiles
"Are you crying?" Chaeyoung asked as she went and knelt near me to hug me
"Me? No-"
"We saw the whole thing" Lisa cuts me off

I laughed at her remark as I tapped Chae's back. She released me from the hug

"I missed you guys" I tried to clear my evident watery eyes
"I missed you too" Chaeyoung smiles
"Yeah, I can see that" Lisa chuckles as she points to my eyes
"Well, that's another way of saying I missed you too" I stood up so did Chae
"I can't believe you convinced Jane to pull a prank on me like this" I laughed making both of them do the same
"It was Lisa's idea" Chaeyoung pointed out
"I didn't know Y/n would cry" Lisa defended
"You weren't supposed to see me like this" I replied
"Thank goodness I witnessed that then" Lisa teases
"How about Jisoo noona? Is she back yet?" I remembered as I pointed to her PC
"Oh yeah, she has a meeting. Can you believe it? She's starring in a K-drama?" Chaeyoung answers
"I read an article about that, so that was true?" I nodded
"By the way, we prepared the things that you'll get for Jennie unnie" Lisa opens Jennie's old room
"Thanks, let's get these to the unit then"

I put down the digital piano near the home speaker whilst Lisa and Chae were bombarded by Ennie and Kuma on the sofa.

"Omo Kuma you're here!" Lisa squeals
"Looks like these two also missed us" Chaeyoung laughs as she lifts Ennie
"You've put an effort in taking care of them, Y/n-ah" Lisa notices
"Thank you, I was worried when Mrs. Kim left Kuma with me. 'Cause Ennie is a bit anti-social around other dogs, but there they are. Looking a bit like best friends" I also sat down on the sofa
"I had an idea, imagine Y/n taking care of Love, Hank, and Dalgom. All together with Ennie and Kuma" Lisa suggests
"Lisa-ya. I'm not a dog care-"
"Yah, that sounds great" Chae added as the both of them started laughing
"See Y/n. Even Chaeyoung agrees" Lisa looked at me
"It'll be the end of me but since it's you guys. I'll probably say yes since you all are always so busy" I chuckled

I stood up and went to the kitchen, offering them dinner

"You ladies want dinner?" I offered while checking the fridge
"Yes, I'm starving" Lisa replies immediately
"You just came from work Y/n. Don't you feel tired?" Chaeyoung asked
"I do, but I figured you might've missed my cooking. I've got a lot of leftover food here, I can reheat it if you want?" I asked taking my attention to the living room to see both of them also looking at me
"That would be great, Y/n" Chaeyoung smiles
"I would be lying if I said I didn't miss your cooking" Lisa replies
"I heard what I needed to hear" I replied and took out a few leftover food from the fridge
"Y/n, have you not been eating?" Chaeyoung asked worryingly as she saw the amount of leftover food
"Now that you mention it, you've gone skinnier Y/n" Lisa added, Chae walked near me to check once again
"Probably a side effect of missing someone so bad" I answered truthfully
"Fortunate for you we are here then" Lisa also went to the kitchen to check the fridge

I heard a few clinks of bottles. Lisa laughs all of a sudden.

"I see that you don't drink that much, Y/n" Lisa took out the tequila bottle
"I gave this to you like 4 months ago" Lisa continues

Chaeyoung also helped by taking out some ice from the freezer and she also found some drinking glass.

"Have you ever heard of alcohol consolation?"
