His eyes linger, crossing lines unseen,
Her skin crawls beneath the weight, unclean.
She holds on to something tight
Tight enough to break it
And she screams
Not out loud
But inside her, deep inside her
She cries
Not there, but
When the moon chases the sun away
When darkness fills the sky
When the monsters are most alive

She sheds pearls of tears that she shouldn't
She tried to hold it but couldn't
If her tears had color
Her pillow would be more colourful
Than a rainbow
Blaming the unsafe world
