Nash's p.o.v.

Report No. 225.

I, Nash, am back at writing another report. My duty as the leader of the Barians is to chronicle all our endeavors in case something happens. True, we Barians cannot die. If defeated in battle we go into eternal stasis for a century or two. Until our God, Don Thousand decided to revive us. It only happened once, a century ago, when Vector was fullish enough to try his luck. Not to mention he was crazed more than usual when he returned. It caused us all to value our lives a bit more so to speak.

Things have been busy lately. As leaders, we emperors must guide our people in the right direction, not to mention keep an eye on our fellow emperor's activities. But I do not complain. I love seeing the happy faces of our people. Marin feels the same way. She has taken a particular liking to a little girl named Iris. I could understand why. Iris was just such a sweet caring individual; it made me wonder how she ended up in the Barian world in the first place. Considering the new souls, we gain daily, with their disturbing personalities, Iris is a gift. We met once...

But back to the topic at hand. Marin has been to our mines to check up on crystal support. She does that occasionally, being her duty as a Barian Emperor. That is what she uses a lot in her healing practice. We never lacked crystals, but it is good to be prepared. Just in case. Who knows when the Astral world strikes? It had been one of Dumon's duties to keep a record of our supplies once, but since we created the archives to store our records and knowledge, Dumon has hardly left the place. It always surprises me how much studying my friend can manage and how many books he can read. It has become quite the library. Then again, it could be because he wanted to be a good adviser to me, as he helps me with the rules and regulations of the Barian world. It was not the first time I had to be strict with some rule breakers. It is not my favorite part of the task as an emperor. That is for sure.

Speaking off, we gained 2 more Barian emperors in our ranks. Mizar, the dragon tamer, and Girag, the sturdy warrior. Not to mention have a Barian in training named Alito. Girag is training him right now, preparing him for the emperor's trial. It is the only recruit who has not quit on us after that rigorous training exercise Mizar gave the recruits some time back. I was amazed they were conscious afterward. I do not blame Mizar for his strictness. If they cannot handle these training exercises, there is no way they will be able to clear the trial for becoming an emperor. though his actions also leave people fearful of becoming an emperor, which does not please me. We need more emperors if we can win the war against the Astral world.

I do believe in my fellow Emperors. Even Vector, who is a mystery to us, though he is the most capable of us in striking back at the Astral world. I never know what he is thinking and plotting right about now. Maybe I should check up on him again...

A knock on the door made Nash stop in his endeavors for a second before finishing the report and closing the book he had been using. It was late, so it didn't surprise him when his sister Marin entered the chambers. She was the only one who would visit him this late. Unless of course they were under attack, but Nash had yet to hear any alarm bells ring. The purple colors in his room were reflecting Marin's white skin color, making her even more beautiful. It was no wonder, the male species of their people were flocking around her like wildfire. Though Nash doubted she needed help. Her chilly attitude alone could blow out that fire quickly.

"Hello, brother," she greeted half-heartedly. She was not in the mood for chit-chat. "I was going my usual round and was wondering if you wanted me to bring you anything." Nash hummed thoughtfully, knowing that was not the real reason for why Marin was here. She was bringing bad news.
