Xiaojun always wanted to be an idol, yet Hendery didn't really want to be an idol. He wanted to help his family at their restaurant.
One thing about Hendery is that he always had a huge crush on his best friend Xiaojun. Yet he knows that he will no longer have any sort of chance. When he first heard that Xiaojun wanted to be an idol he felt his heart drop.
It was hard for him to stay near Xiaojun ever since then. Xiaojun noticed and kept asking about it but Hendery never had the courage to tell him.
"Hendery!" Xiaojun yelled for him, clinging onto his arm
"I'm going to be a trainee! Starting next month!" Xiaojun beamed with full happiness
"Oh.. congrats!" Hendery said trying to hold back his tears, his voice slightly cracking on the word "congrats"
Xiaojun seemed to ignore it and went on rambling about how happy he is and how much he can't wait
Hendery only nodded, spacing out a few times.
"I don't know if we will be able to hang out as much though." Xiaojun said
"It's fine. I'm not gonna slow you down with your goals, it would be better if we completely stop hanging out." Hendery responded, a tear trying to escape his eyes
"What are you talking about? You're my best friend there's no way i'll just fully stop hanging out with you." Xiaojun said, looking at Hendery with a frown
Hendery shrugs and nods, making Xiaojun continue talking about the future of when he becomes an idol.
Hendery looks at Xiaojun, he sighs, his throat felt stuck at this moment, he couldn't do anything.
Hendery listening to him is the least he could do.
