Kishangarh, city, central Rajasthan state, northwestern India. It is situated in an upland region about 50 miles (80 km) southwest of Jaipur on the banks of Lake Gundalao.

Kishan Singh, a Rajput (one of the warrior rulers of the historical region of Rajputana), founded the city in 1611 along with its fort and palace. It subsequently served as the capital of the princely state of Kishangarh. The princely state came under British dominance by a treaty concluded in 1818 and became part of the state of Rajasthan in 1948. The Kishangarh school of the Rajasthani painting style developed there in the 18th century.

Kishangarh serves as a trade centre for cotton fabrics and agricultural produce, and it has road and rail connections with Ajmer and Jaipur. The city manufactures soap, woollen carpets, and shawls. Hand-loom weaving, cloth dyeing, and precious-stone cutting are local cottage industries. Marble quarrying and cutting are also important to the local economy. The city's public buildings include a hospital and a government college affiliated with the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur.

The Nagar family is simpl family who loves each other , as Raman Nagar works in an international company in a reputed position, Anand Nagara is a government employee, Ishki Nagar works in a private school as an English teacher, and Sudha Nagar is a stay-at-home parent.
