Nick's POV
I can't help but chuckle to myself as Charlie rushes out of the door, clearly very flustered. I wonder what his reaction would be if I actually flirted with him.
The firm handshake and eye contact is always a good way of telling if another man is into me. They either respond, or they don't, and Charlie definitely responded.
I would never pull that move on another parent, I always remain professional, but Charlie isn't a parent. It feels like a bit of a loop hole, but surely it's fine if he isn't actually the child's parent.
Charlie is beautiful and exactly my type. He seems shy and sweet but his eyebrow slit and the small sliver hoop in his earlobe tell me he has an edge to him, and I like that.
My mind wanders to feeling that earring between my teeth as I nibble his ear. I have to distract myself, remembering that I am in fact at work and can't be thinking like that.
My last relationship was with a woman, and I'm not one for casual hookups so it's been a while since I've been with a man. It was something I've been craving anyway but now even more so.
He's quite slim, but looks toned. I have a thing for smaller guys, I love being able to hold them around their waist and have my finger tips almost touching. I love it even more when they enjoy feeling over powered.
I have to distract myself because again, I am at work, and surrounded by six and seven year olds. I really shouldn't be having these thoughts right now.
🍂🍂🍂
It's ten to three and a queue of parents is already starting to form outside the classroom door. I feel a buzz of excitement at the thought of seeing Charlie again.
"Okay, everyone listening please." I say in my kind, but firm teacher voice.
The children gradually stop chattering and fall silent, turning their attention to me.
"It's time to tidy up and get our things together, what music shall we have on today?" I ask the class.
"Taylor Swift!" The whole class shouts in unison.
"Ah, good choice!" I chuckle, my students know me so well.I perch on my desk and press shuffle on my Taylor Swift playlist, Cruel Summer starts playing on the speakers. The children scramble to their feet and I turn the volume up a little as they start throwing away scraps of paper and hunting down glue stick lids.
"Mr. Nelson, is Charlie picking me up?" Ezra asks as he bounds over to me.
"Yes, I think so." I say, smiling at him.
"Yay! I love Charlie!" He exclaims as he skips off to continue tidying. It's always a good sign if children love their parents friends. Something I've learnt from teaching is that children are a very good judge of character and they don't sugar coat anything.
When the classroom is tidy and the children all have their bags, I stop the music and look at the time. Still a few minutes until three o'clock, they're definitely getting faster.
"Right, everyone sitting on bottoms please." I say and the children all giggle as they take their seats.
"Well done everyone, I think that was your quickest time yet." I say and they all cheer.
"Who's ready to go home?" I ask as I move towards the classroom door.
"Me!" They all shout, raising their hands and I laugh as I open the classroom door.
