"I can't believe she's skipping her meals again."

I sigh as I prepared her dinner. I took out some plate from the kitchen cabinet and placed it on the table. I hummed as I found myself looking at a well plated dish in front of me.

I smiled and grabbed vanilla ice cream in our freezer, I actually took one more because I also wanted to eat something sweet.

"For sure, Mariah will tease me."
I said to myself looking at the tray I'm holding.

I went to her room and managed to knocked using my foot.

"Wait a minute!"

I heard her shout and a couple of seconds, her door opened. She saw what I was holding and before she could smirk, I invited myself inside her room. Placing the tray on her coffee table, I felt her on my side.

"Ay, what's this? Hmm?"

The tone of her voice is hinting me that she's going to make fun of me. I looked at her and rolled my eyes.

"Just eat already, wala ka bang balak kumain ha?"

I said and sat on her bed. I noticed her desk was kinda messy making me sigh.

"I know this upcoming exam is important but please prioritized your health."

I gently reminded her making her smile. She then grab the plate and was about to take a bite when she noticed how well plated her meal is.

"Did you order this ba?" she asked making me shake my head as I approached her.

"Nooo, I did that kaya. Look oh, look how I made this side pretty and the way I--"

Aiah was smirking, her eyebrow slightly raising making me looked away. This girl.

"Alam mo, kumain ka nalang dyan. Dami mong tanong." I said and grabbed some ice cream.

I watched her eat as I also ate my ice cream. I should've bought a pretzel to match this.

I felt a hug on my side making me look at Aiah.

"Thank you always" she said softly. I patted her head and hummed in response.

"Ano nalang gagawin ko pag wala ka?" she added making me think for a second.

What would happen if I didn't meet her? Much less be friends with her?
I mean, being her roommate for like 2 years was thrilling for me.

I wasn't always that 'taking care' kind of a person but this girl here just made it all change. I always look out for her, I've been there through her ups and downs.

Knowing her, she always does her best in everything which makes me want to support her even more.

"My life would be dull without you though." I blurted out making her laugh.

"Ikaw ha, crush mo'ko no? Yiee!" she joked making me chuckled.

"I just adored you, Arceta. Wag kang feeling." I reasoned out. Still she makes these faces na 'sus, kunwari ka pa'

"But still, I'm so lucky to have you. Lagi ka nandyan for me." she said making me smile.

"Oo naman." I shortly said and told her to eat her ice cream. I know it's her comfort food, it'll make her feel rewarded sa mga efforts nya sa school.

After eating, she suggested na samahan ko sya sa paghugas ng plato para di sya ma bored daw.

"Hey, ano plano mo pala after grad?" she asked, breaking the silence between us.

"I think I'm still gonna pursue my course. Invest din and stuff, ganon." I carefully answered, hoping that she would not notice my unsure tone.

Well, I honestly don't know. Kasi I want to be involved pa rin kay Aiah after graduation namin. Like business partners or I don't know.

"Don't worry, hindi naman tayo maghihiwalay. I want to be with you pa rin after grad." she said and smiled then went back to washing the utensils. It's like she read my mind.

I didn't notice my mouth forming a smile which I tried to hide by biting my lower lip.

Well, our night was filled with jokes and laughter.

Scrolling on my phone as I make myself comfortable on my bed, slightly stretching because I just finished our Exam. I sigh then heard some cracking sound on my back.

"Why am I feeling SO old." I groaned and continued scrolling on my social media. I was waiting for Aiah to get back home from her Exam.

We didn't have the same schedule kasi, so I had to take the test much earlier than her.

I was getting sleepy when suddenly my door opened, revealing Aiah with this big smile on her face.

"Look who aced her exam." she proudly said, showing me her test paper with a mark of 94/100 making me smile.

"Ey, I'm so proud of you. Pa-Jollibee ka naman dyan." I playfully said making her laugh. She gave me a tight hug and said,

"Don't worry, dinner's on me! Order tayo sa Jollibee, ano ba gusto mo? Parang gusto ko ng chickenjoy-"

I didn't hear the rest of it because I was busy looking at her. Oh God, please make this woman in front of me the happiest. I don't want any person to hurt this precious soul.

She noticed that I was staring at her so she mischievously gave my cheek a quick peck.

"You stare too much, hon." she whispered making me red like jollibee. (eme, like tomato kasi.)

She placed her arm on my shoulder as she showed me her phone.

'Pili ka na bai, dali." she cutely said, scrolling on the menu, showing me each of the pictures.

"Hay nako, Arceta." I said as I felt her placed her chin on my shoulder.
