IN HONOUR OF ANGELICAThe soft breeze drifted through the broad-leafed reeds and the running brooks; the soft sand turnt cold from splashing waves. Two small black birds loomed comfortably over the vast, sunlit ground from a tall oak tree standing just beyond the RiverClan border. Suddenly, a battle cry lit the air and noise struck like lightning to the ground. Cats flew out from the bushes, their claws outstretched ready for a merciless fight. The smells of ThunderClan and RiverClan twined together as both clans clashed into each other. RiverClan cats had attacked from the reeds, giving them cover and disguising their scent, ThunderClan however had hid behind a small set of rocks, nothing to mask their smells, meaning the RiverClan cats knew exactly where they were. A small-ish she-cat stood out within the crowd, her silver-grey fur glistening from the dripping reeds. She was quite young, yet fought like no other warrior had ever seen before. Her claws were sharp and her tail was a silky and long; striped like a raccoon.
"Raccoontail, watch out!" Yowled a voice within the crowd. As quick as the warning came, the blow hit. A tall-standing pale ginger tom lunged at Raccoontail, his claws aiming for her throat, despite his strength, Raccoontail knocked him off herself and slashed at his underbelly, twisting under him in a fit of claws; she bolted up, her fur bristling with out-rage, Raccoontail leaped at him, claws unsheathed. The pale ginger tom turnt at the last moment, causing Raccoontail to land into a tree. As she struggled to stand, the tom came at her again, yet this time she wasn't ready. He easily pinned her to the cold earth ground, his eyes glazing with triumph. Raccoontail swiped at him, just about clawing his cheek, he hissed, infuriated. The pale ginger tom unsheathed his claws, and in a heart beat, Raccoontail wailed out in agony. Her whole face dripping with velvet red blood.
