A Lone Soul

Family Day. The day Katsuki dreaded. Especially since Mlm was staying at his place. But they used it to their advantage. Since Mlm wasn't a people person, they could get him near some of the heroes and heroes-to-be to meet and get comfortable. Mlm had this look when the chance was offered: Betrayal. Mitsuki was laughing hysterically at the look as Katsuki tried to talk him into not murdering him or Ella.

"Mlm... it'll be ok. You just have to stay with me." Mlm gave no noise as he continued his look. "Mlm, I promise you won't have to talk. This is just to get you used to being around other heroes." Mlm finally spoke, his voice hardly going over Mitsuki's laughter.

"You tryna get me killed... and you think it's ok..."

"Mlm, I'm not going to get you killed. You just have to stay near me. I'll protect you, ok?" Keeping the look up, he backed up and went behind the couch. "Mlm, I'll protect you. Please?" Finally Katsuki felt the smaller boy climb onto his back. He smiled at him, knowing he had to do this right in order to get him to trust the others. "Alright... let's go."

He scanned the room as the four entered. Mlm literally shrank in size to hide on his back before the others noticed him.

"Hey Ka-chan." Bakugo nodded as Mlm tightly gripped his shirt. The others spoke while Katsuki slipped his hand back to rubbed the smaller boy's back. Uraraka spotted Mlm and asked.

"Who's this?" Mlm panicked, knowing exactly who she meant. Mitsuki saved the two boys as she stepped beside them.

"My good friend Ella asked me to watch over her son while she and her family were on a business trip." Mlm purred as she petted his head. Bakugo smiled.

"That was close..." He smiled at his mother as Uraraka hummed.

They were grouped up to do stuff outside. Bakugo eyed Deku, Kirishima and Todoroki as they were stretching and their families were talking to his dad. Mitsuki hummed.

"Mlm... wanna get onto my back so Katsuki can join the others?" Mlm didn't move as he eyed the trio. Katsuki smiled.

"Mom... it'll be ok. As long as he doesn't let go or choke me, he won't be a problem." She hummed as Deku called out.

"Ka-chan! You coming?"

"Yeah..." Mlm hummed he went over. "Ready to take you guys down."

Mlm was stable most of the time until they asked for his quirk. Then he freaked out. Bakugo held his hand as he trembled.

"It's ok..." He rubbed his hand as he looked at him in fear. "You don't have to tell them. If you'd rather just show, you can." Mlm finally got off his back, shaky moves guiding him before Bakugo felt a wave under his feet. The pain hit before he landed on his butt. He yelped as Mlm raced behind Mitsuki. "Hey!" Mlm peeked out before giving a small smile. Better than nothing. Mitsuki giggled.

"Now now... how can you let a little child beat you?" He grumbled something under his breath, something about the middle schooler already knowing his time before he got up.

"I don't want to hear it." He got up and rubbed the bruise. Mlm climbed back onto his back before his voice lightly touched his ear.

"Not sorry."

"I know you're not." Mlm purred before Deku blinked.

"What?"

"Nothing." Mitsuki giggled.

"Mlm's not much of a talker. So he'll murmur things randomly if he chooses. Ella had to give me the rundown." Bakugo glanced at Mlm as he rested against him.

"Well... I think it's time to close up shop. Shall we head home?"

Mlm woke up to acknowledge the bed before seeing Bakugou beside him.

"So...?" Mlm turned away. "Mlm... I know you hated it. But it was an opportunity." Mlm let a soft voice out.

"There... was one person I saw that I might be able to work with..." He let his mind wander before he paused.

"Tsui?" Mlm paused. "She had the frog quirk." Mlm then nodded.

"Yeah... very fast... sorta seemed nice..." Bakugo smiled a little.

"Well... we'll talk later."
