Chapter 6: Catching Feelings?

Not how I expected this night to end. But I'm not complaining. She laid her head down on my chest and I started playing with her hair which was surprisingly soft, slowly we ended up drifting off to sleep.

                                    Nev's POV
As I'm sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to be called I can't help but feel like I'm making a mistake. She's just a friend? It's not like she asked him out. Maybe I'm overreacting. Before I could gather my thoughts I found myself on my way out side flagging down a car. I arrived at Kye's house and his mom let me in. "Give me a moment dear let me go get him for you" "no. It's okay I know where his room is" "I insist. Let me go get him" I pushed past her wondering why she's being so protective all of a sudden. I make my way up the stairs and open his door to surprise him and wake him up like old times to find Savannah laying on his bare chest sound asleep while he's scrolling on his phone completely oblivious. "Are you fucking kidding me?!? We break up and you're already in bed with someone else?!?!" Kye is sitting there silently staring at me like I'm crazy, as I'm yelling at him Savannah starts to wake up. "You go and sleep with some whore right after we split? What the fuck."

                                Savannah's POV
Last night was exactly what I needed to figure out my own feelings, just as I'm waking up I feel the warmth of Kye's chest and hear a female voice screaming at him "You go and sleep with some whore right after we split? What the fuck." I immediately knew who it was, Neveah. "A whore?" I calmly said as I'm starting to get up "I'm a whore?" "Yeah. You're a whore. Gettin in bed with someone else's guy." I laughed "Last I checked. You broke up with him. With a note. I came over to be a friend to him. And watch a movie. I didn't sleep with him. Though now I'm thinking maybe I should have."
The look on her face was just complete shock like I struck a nerve or something "oh, I'm sorry. Did I strike a nerve? He's. Not. Yours. Bitch. He can do whatever he wants to do. And clearly. He wanted me last night. "
Kye is still sitting here completely silent just listening to the both of us argue "I bet he'd pick me over you right now. And tell you to get out of his bed." "Oh yeah? How about it Kye. Who do you want to stay?" Kye looked at me and only me but didn't dare say a word. "Well. I think that's answer enough, don't you?" Neveah's face turned bright red and started walking over to Kye just mumbling completely nonsense, as she is right in front of him she lifts her arm to go and slap him, he covered his face in a protective manor as if this has happened before, as she goes to swing I stop her hand and punch her in the throat now standing up from my very comfy place on the bed. "I. Think. Not. Are you okay Kye?" He looked at me with a small tinge of fear in his eyes and I understood. "He would like you to leave. If you don't leave peacefully I will forcibly remove you myself." "Then remove me. Skank." "Give me one moment." I turned around, placed my hand on Kye's chin tipping his head up and kissed him right in front of her. Must have triggered something as next thing I know she grabbed my braid and threw me to the floor. "Back the fuck off of him." "Oh honey. You're delusional. You still think he's yours. Spoiler alert. He's mine now. And if you got a problem with it, too fuckin bad." I looked her in her eyes as I said that, she looked like I just killed her parents or something with how mad she got. She tried to punch me several times to which I avoided each one and countered it but she wasn't giving up, eventually I got her down on the ground and pinned her there. "Kye, go get your mom please." Kye nodded and quickly ran down to get his mother. "Let me go." She started begging "No." "Please Savannah.." God is she pathetic. "I said No." Kyes mom came in and took hold of her arm, escorting her out as Kye came back into the room, I held him close to me "Hey, it's okay. You're okay. I've got you. Come on, let's get ready for school I'm sure Nex is waiting for us"

                                          Kye's POV
I woke up a little bit before Savannah did, she's still laying on my chest sound asleep, she looks so beautiful. I gently moved her hair out of her face, her skin is so soft and she looks so peaceful. I picked up my phone and started scrolling when I heard my front door downstairs open and my mom arguing with someone. My mom started yelling up the stairs but before I could react my bedroom door was thrown open and all I could do was stare. What is she doing here. She left. She was supposed to be gone. "Are you fucking kidding me?!? We break up and you're already in bed with someone else?!?!" She started screaming at me and didn't give me a chance to reply. Soon enough Savannah was waking up, "I'm a whore?" She very calmly replied, oh no.. this isn't gonna be good. The two girls started arguing, Neveah is pissed and screaming while Savannah is calm and collected. "Kye. Who do you want to stay?" Savannah's calm voice snapped me back to reality, all I could do was stare at savannah which was probably the wrong thing as Nev started making her way towards me yelling with savannah still, Nev lifts her arm to hit me and I wince, covering my face on instinct bracing for impact. "I. Think. Not. Are you okay Kye?" I peeked out from behind my hands to look Savannah in the eyes, I guess she could see the fear as she started asking Nev to leave. I know I just met her but I don't think I've ever met someone so kind and so loving before. Other than myself but I don't count. I am a Cupid after all.
Nev refused to leave and the two started fighting punching eachother while Nev is talking shit. Well. More Nev is getting hit while Savannah dodges. Savannah finally gets Nev on the ground "Kye go get your mom" I took off downstairs to grab my mom then slowly made my way back up. As I'm walking in the doorway my mom is escorting Nev out, Savannah grabbed me, pulled me close to her chest and hugged me tightly telling me everything was okay now. I hugged her back tightly. I am so thankful to have her. "Let's get ready for school, I'm sure Nex is waiting for us" I realized I was shirtless and my face turned bright read, I guess Savannah noticed as she started to giggle handing me a shirt. Her giggle is adorable. What am I going to tell Nex... How am I going to tell him... Do I have feelings for her or is this just a fluke? I'll worry about it after tomorrow, Nex said he could hang out so maybe I can figure it out then.

                                Savannah's POV
I picked a cute shirt out of Kye's closet and handed it to him, his face turned bright red when he realized he was shirtless, "You okay Kye?" I managed to say while giggling at his rosy cheeks I guess I didn't notice before but he is rather fit. I could feel my face heating up so I excused myself to use the bathroom before we left. I'm not catching feelings already am I? I did claim him as mine to his ex but I was just defending him right? Right....?
