THE REQUIEM is a new story i haven't wrote yet!! spoilers
blacktip herself is of unknown heritage, although her black scales suggest a nightwing heritage. she was adopted as an egg when she was found by a seawing by the name of sicklefin.
she was found in the requiem room, a hidden room in the deep sea palace where the requiem would meet once every new moon.
the requiem is a cult-like following amassed by orca before her death. they have her ideals and followed her blindly, even writing commandments from her. they were cult-like, did her dirty work, snuck her intel, and after her death sacrificed sharks to her, trained their children under her ideals, and continued plotting against queen coral.
blacktip is one of those children. she is an animus, and is trained as a poisoner due to her lack of strength. with blacktip the same age as auklet, they plan to make auklet a second orca.
blacktip would grow under the influence of sliteye, the leader of the requiem, the right-talon of orca. sliteye was very extreme, training the new hatchlings ever since they hatch. when they can form sentences, they're tested for animus ability.
blacktip was legally sicklefin's daughter, and sicklefin was a lady-in-waiting for the thirty-two princes. she'd follow sicklefin to work and see how other dragonets acted. she learnt to pretend to be like them while being far too mature for her age underneath, collecting information about which prince could soon be of use to the requiem.
sicklefin soon changed to be a lady-in-waiting for queen coral, but because of a code of honour orca had, the requiem were not allowed to poison queen coral. one day, blacktip met auklet and auklet convinced coral to let blacktip be her friend.
the requiem were delighted, but once blacktip was out of the requiem's reach, she realized how different things were. she still had to write reports in the form of a diary entry, but she also had to learn and play with auklet.
she began learning things the requiem wouldn't let her learn.
as she grew older, her and auklet's friendship stayed strong, while her and the requiem's connection soon became lesser. she dropped the plan of influencing auklet to become orca #2, no longer gently steering her every second. she slowly became a normal dragonet again.
when she became an adult, the requiem assassinated her, due to her lack of compliance. the requiem were caught in the act, but blacktip was now comatose and while their cult slowly de-establishing themselves, blacktip died.
