It was late afternoon at Hogwarts, the sun casting long shadows over the grounds. Seth was making his way down to Hagrid's hut for his favorite part of the week-helping Hagrid with the creatures. Today, it was feeding the Bowtruckles, and Seth was excited.

As Seth approached the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid greeted him with a hearty wave.

"Ah, there yeh are, Seth! Come on now, these little fellas are gettin' antsy."

Seth smiled as he jogged over.

"Sorry I'm late, Hagrid! Twig kept me busy earlier-he's been a bit moody lately."

Hagrid let out a booming chuckle.

"Aye, they're temperamental lil' things, ain't they? Well, let's see if we can calm 'em down with a good meal."

They headed deeper into the forest to a small grove where several Bowtruckles were waiting, their twiggy bodies clinging to the bark of trees, their beady eyes watching with curiosity as Hagrid and Seth approached.

Seth immediately got to work, pulling out a small pouch of wood lice from his pocket. As he carefully approached the first tree, the Bowtruckles came forward, eager for their food. He gently held out a handful of wood lice to one of them, a particularly curious one who stretched out its long fingers to take the offering.

"Easy there, little one." Seth said softly as the Bowtruckle cautiously took the food from his palm.

From Seth's shoulder, Twig, his own Bowtruckle, watched the entire interaction with growing suspicion. Twig's tiny green eyes narrowed, and he let out a sharp chittering noise, clinging tighter to Seth's robes.

"What's up with yer Bowtruckle there, Seth?" Hagrid asked, noticing Twig's agitation.

Seth chuckled lightly.

"I think he's a bit jealous." He said as Twig chittered again, this time louder.

Seth moved to another tree, feeding a second Bowtruckle with the same gentle care. But Twig was having none of it. The small creature scrambled down Seth's arm and stood right on his hand, pushing against the wood lice as if trying to stop him from feeding the others. Twig's tiny arms waved indignantly, and his posture was stiff and defensive.

"Twig, come on," Seth said with a grin. "I'm just feeding them, not replacing you."

Twig crossed his tiny arms and turned his back to the other Bowtruckles, clearly sulking.

Hagrid chuckled deeply, "Would yeh look at that? He's proper jealous, ain't he? Yeh've really got a loyal friend there, Seth."

Seth sighed playfully, gently nudging Twig back onto his shoulder.

"I guess you like being the center of attention, huh?"

Twig gave a soft chitter, this time quieter, as if satisfied by Seth's words but still keeping an eye on the other Bowtruckles. He wrapped his tiny arms around Seth's neck, holding on tightly, clearly not ready to share his human just yet.

Seth continued feeding the rest of the Bowtruckles, making sure to give Twig a reassuring pat now and then. Eventually, the little creature seemed to calm down, though he kept a watchful eye on every interaction.

"Yer always good with 'em, Seth," Hagrid said with a smile. "Always got a natural way with magical creatures."

"Thanks, Hagrid," Seth replied, glancing at Twig with an affectionate smile. "Though I think I'll have to give Twig some extra attention tonight."

Twig let out a pleased chirp as if to say, *You're absolutely right.*

As they finished feeding the Bowtruckles, Seth couldn't help but laugh at how protective Twig had become. He gave Twig a gentle stroke, feeling the tiny creature relax against him.
