It was a rare evening off for the pro heroes, and to everyone's surprise, Shouta Aizawa (also known as Eraserhead) and Hizashi Yamada (Present Mic) had agreed to host a sleepover at their house. Despite Aizawa’s usual gruff demeanor, he’d been convinced—mostly by Hizashi’s endless enthusiasm and Miruko’s persistence—that this was a good idea. The heroes gathered one by one, each carrying snacks, sleeping bags, and more than a few stories to tell.
As the evening began, Hizashi took the lead, organizing karaoke in the living room. It was no surprise that he went first, belting out a rock ballad with all the energy of a concert performer. Miruko joined in with her usual high-spirited competitiveness, while Fatgum cheered them on with a mountain of snacks in his lap. Even Hawks couldn’t resist the mic, playfully serenading the group with a pop song that had everyone laughing.
Aizawa and Endeavor, however, were less enthusiastic participants. Aizawa sat in the corner of the room, a sleeping bag wrapped around him like a cocoon, silently judging the others through half-lidded eyes. Endeavor, meanwhile, had resigned himself to the chaos, occasionally sipping from his tea and grumbling under his breath as he watched Midnight get overly excited during a board game.
"Come on, Shouta!" Hizashi called, playfully shoving a microphone in Aizawa’s face. "Your turn!"
Aizawa gave him a withering look, but Hizashi just grinned wider, practically glowing with mischief. "I’ll pass," Aizawa muttered, pushing the mic away.
Midnight, sprawled out on the couch, waved her hand dramatically. "You two are such killjoys! Loosen up, we’re here to have fun!"
"Yeah," Hawks chimed in, "even Enji’s trying, and that’s saying something."
Endeavor merely grunted in response, shifting slightly on the floor. His large frame didn’t exactly fit well in the cozy living room, but he’d made do. After all, he was used to sleeping on the floor at his traditional Japanese home, so this wasn’t anything new.
As the night wore on, the group gradually began to wind down. Miruko and Fatgum crashed out in one of the spare rooms, while Hawks found a spot in the corner of the living room. Midnight claimed the couch, draping herself dramatically over it with a contented sigh, and Endeavor stretched out on the floor, using his arm as a makeshift pillow.
Eventually, Hizashi and Aizawa retreated to their own bedroom, Hizashi still buzzing with energy, recounting the night’s highlights as Aizawa nodded along, half-asleep. "This was fun, right?" Hizashi asked, already knowing the answer.
"Sure," Aizawa mumbled, already sinking into the mattress. "Goodnight, Hizashi."
"Goodnight, Shouta," Hizashi said, turning off the light.
**Hours later, the house was silent—except for the quiet sound of someone moving.**
Endeavor, who had been sleeping peacefully on the floor, suddenly rose to his feet. His eyes were closed, his face a strange mixture of calm and… cheerfulness? Without a word, he started to wander around the living room, bumping into the coffee table with a soft chuckle. Midnight, who had been lightly dozing on the couch, opened one eye, her gaze sharpening as she took in the sight of Endeavor shuffling around in the dark.
"Enji?" she whispered, trying not to wake the others. "What are you doing?"
Endeavor didn’t respond. Instead, he reached out to the wall, patting it gently before muttering, "Such a nice… fluffy bunny…" His voice was soft and oddly high-pitched, almost childlike.
Midnight had to stifle a laugh, covering her mouth with her hand. "Enji," she whispered again, "are you… sleepwalking?"
But Endeavor was already on the move, drifting out of the living room and into the hallway, still mumbling to himself. Midnight followed quietly, both amused and slightly concerned. She watched as Endeavor made his way to the kitchen, where he started opening and closing cabinets at random.
"Where’s… the dragon food…?" he murmured, his expression deadly serious despite the nonsense he was spouting.
Midnight couldn’t hold it in anymore; she burst out laughing, quickly covering her mouth to stifle the noise. Hawks, who had been lightly dozing in the corner, stirred and blinked sleepily at the scene. "What’s going on…?" he mumbled.
"Shh," Midnight whispered, waving him over. "Endeavor’s sleepwalking, and it’s hilarious."
Hawks squinted at the sight of Endeavor rifling through the kitchen drawers, a bewildered smile spreading across his face. "This is golden," he whispered back. "We have to wake him up!"
But just as they were about to intervene, Endeavor turned around and began marching down the hallway, still muttering to himself. "Gotta find the… ice cream swords…"
He headed straight for Aizawa and Hizashi’s bedroom, his footsteps eerily quiet for someone his size. Midnight and Hawks followed at a distance, trying to suppress their giggles.
As Endeavor reached the door, he paused, swaying slightly before knocking on it, his expression deadly serious. "Open up," he called out in a deep, commanding voice—one that completely contradicted his earlier mumblings. "I know you have the unicorn…"
Aizawa, who had been lightly sleeping, woke with a start. "What the—" he muttered, reaching for his capture weapon on instinct. Hizashi blinked awake too, rubbing his eyes.
"Enji? What’s wrong?" Aizawa called through the door.
Endeavor didn’t answer. Instead, he leaned against the doorframe, a contented smile on his face as he whispered, "Goodnight, little sparklers…" And with that, he slid down the door, landing on the floor with a soft thud, fast asleep once more.
Aizawa opened the door to find Endeavor slumped against it, snoring lightly. Hizashi peeked over his shoulder, eyes wide with surprise. "Did… did he just call us ‘sparklers’?"
Hawks and Midnight, who had been watching the whole thing unfold, burst out laughing, clutching their sides as they tried to stay quiet. Aizawa sighed, rubbing his temples. "Hizashi, get a blanket. Let’s just let him sleep here."
By morning, Endeavor had no memory of his midnight adventures. He woke up on the floor of the hallway, groggy and confused, with Hawks and Midnight still chuckling to themselves.
"Did you sleep well, Enji?" Hizashi asked with a grin as they all gathered for breakfast.
Endeavor frowned, trying to recall the night. "I… think so?" he replied slowly, eyeing the others suspiciously.
Aizawa smirked behind his coffee mug. "You certainly had an eventful night."
Endeavor looked around at the group, who were all barely containing their laughter. "What happened?" he asked, a sinking feeling in his stomach.
"Nothing much," Midnight teased, winking at him. "Just a little sleepwalking, some unicorns, and a fluffy bunny. You know, the usual."
Endeavor’s eyes widened, but before he could ask more, Hawks slid a plate of pancakes in front of him with a grin. "Eat up, big guy. You’ve got to keep your energy up for more sleepwalking adventures."
Despite the confusion, Endeavor couldn’t help but smile slightly.
