My lips parted slightly as I drew a steady line with the eyeliner, eyes fixed on the mirror.

I watched the shimmer of the eyeshadow settle into place.

Saturday crept up on me faster than I expected and here I was getting ready for the big event.

With media coverage guaranteed along with Yoongi's prominent position in the fashion industry, I knew we'd be under the spotlight everywhere.

After all, it was a major key moment for us, considering our first public appearance together at such a high-profile event.

Hence, any minor fuck-ups from either of us would be a direct dent in Yoongi's image.

I swiped the final coat of mascara across my lashes, blinking a few times to make sure they didn't stick together.

Dabbing my lips one final time I gave my face a once-over.

Not bad.

Standing up from the stool, I adjusting my posture and twirled slightly to catch every angle of my reflection.

The gown I choose for tonight was a striking midnight black, the soft fabric sliding like liquid over my skin.

The sweetheart neckline runs deep in the middle.

My fingers trailed along the shimmering embellishment on the shoulder, tracing the delicate diamonds and lustrous pearls.

They felt cold against my fingers, a sharp contrast to the warmth of the silk beneath them.

The pearls and diamonds didn't just stop at the shoulder, they ran along the slit, their sparkle catching the light with every movement.

I turned slowly, watching the back-side of the gown. "If this doesn't turn heads," I murmured to my reflection, "I don't know what will."

When I stepped into the living room, Yoongi was already there, standing by the window with his phone in hand.

He didn't notice me at first, too absorbed in whatever email or message he was reading.

He was dressed in a sleek black suit that fit him perfectly, the fabric tailored to his frame in a way that made him look effortlessly sharp.

His white dress shirt peeked out from beneath the jacket, and a black tie completed the look.

I cleared my throat lightly, and his head snapped up.

His eyes widened for just a second, taking me in from head to toe, before quickly masking it with a warm smile.

"You look..." He paused, his eyes lingering on me a little longer than usual. "great."

A coy smile spread across my face at his words.

My hand subconsciously reached up, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself." I replied, trying to keep the mood light.

"You really think so?" He said eyeing me playfully.

"Definitely." I said, unable to suppress a giggle.

With a charming grin, he extended his arm towards me. "Shall we?"

I laughed softly slipping my arm through his.
