"Here" Becky hands the glass of coffee to her wife. She just silently takes it. The girls continue walking down the street.
A little chilly. It's late autumn, but the weather is surprisingly good. The sun is shining and the sky is blue. Not a single cloud. The mood automatically lifts.
"I'm a little hungry," Freen says, adjusting her scarf. Becky sighs, casting a sidelong glance at her wife.
"There won't be enough money to feed you" the brunette grins, taking a sip of aromatic coffee.
"You say that as if I eat like an elephant" the blonde snorts, blowing on her frozen hand.
"I say that because it is" Becky continues to grin. She watches the girl with a sidelong glance.
"You know what?!" the girl snorts, turning to face her wife.
"What?!" Becky raises her eyebrows mockingly, grinning. The blonde just opened her mouth and closed it. She muttered something inarticulate under her breath and continued walking further, warming her other hand. She puts it on a warm glass.
"Well, what are you doing?" Freen mutters, rolling her eyes when whe feels her wife's warm hand on hers. Becky removes her hand from the glass, enveloping it completely in her palm.
"I'm warming you" she rubs the blonde's fingers with her own "you're completely numb" she continues to rub, and then puts the girl's hand in her coat pocket. Freen mentally sighs, feeling how warm it is there.
"You and I are standing in the middle of the road, like morons" Freen laughs, not intending to take her hand out of her wife's pocket. Too warm.
"Let's go to have some diner before you turn into ice" Becky smiles. She reaches for the girl's hand, but still doesn't let go, intertwining their fingers together. Continues to warm...

The girls spent almost the entire day in a local cafe. They chatted and ate. As usual, they snapped at each other over some trivial matter. They discussed upcoming conferences and meetings. And other things directly related to business.
The girls didn't even talk about what happened at the club. Neither one nor the other needed it. This has happened to them. It happened, but then, when the only feelings for each other were only hatred and lust. But it's another matter when something else arose. Something that scares both one and the other.
More likely, Becky is ready to bear this easier than Freen. This is all new to her. It's unclear and scary. It's so much easier for her to keep a distance, albeit small, from the brunette. It's much simpler...
A certain fear stands before her. And completely incomprehensible... She is not afraid that her parents or society will not understand her. She was already understood and accepted. She is afraid of something else, or perhaps she is not afraid, but just does not want to admit the sharp flow of feelings for her wife.
She doesn't want to make the mistake of thinking that this is just affection. Once she finds someone, everything will go away. It's just affection, she told herself... But deep down she understood that she was lying even to herself...

"Have you thought about what will happen to us when we get divorced?" suddenly a voice booms from behind the brunette. Hanging her coat on the hook, the girl just shrugged, walking into the living room without even turning around.
