As the forces of evil rampaged, slaughtering innocents and decimating the weaker races, the true gods from every corner of the globe convened. They reached a unanimous conclusion: to erase this darkness from existence once and for all. A grand war ignited—a battle to end evil. But the most ironic part of it all? We had to become evil ourselves to destroy evil. We transformed, becoming the very darkness we sought to eliminate, because now, we were the embodiment of that evil.
"But Mom, how did it all begin?"
A child's voice, filled with curiosity, echoed in the dimly lit room. The only light came from a small, flickering lamp, casting long shadows on the walls. The boy sat in a wooden chair, his small figure barely visible in the darkness, while his mother sat across from him. Her face was obscured behind the old, weathered book she was reading.
"You really love this story, don't you?" she replied, her voice gentle yet tinged with a mysterious tone.
"Once upon a time, in a world full of magic and wonder, there existed two powerful groups: the gods, known as the Devas, and the demons, known as the Asuras. They were eternal rivals, constantly battling for control of the world. But how did these epic battles conclude? Let me tell you.
The Churning of the Ocean of Milk was a pivotal moment. One day, the gods and demons decided to join forces, seeking a special nectar called Amrita that could grant them eternal life. They churned the ocean together, but the clever god Vishnu, ever the trickster, took the form of a beautiful woman named Mohini. As the demons were mesmerized by her beauty, Vishnu, as Mohini, cunningly handed all the nectar to the gods, bestowing upon them strength and immortality.
Then there was the fierce goddess Durga. A powerful demon named Mahishasura was wreaking havoc across the world, his strength seemingly unmatched. The gods, in their desperation, combined their divine powers to create Durga, a goddess of unparalleled might. She rode into battle, fierce and unyielding, and after a ferocious struggle, she defeated Mahishasura, restoring peace to the world.
Vishnu, the protector of the universe, didn't stop there. He took many forms, known as Avatars, to save the world from impending doom. As Narasimha, he tore through the demonic king Hiranyakashipu. As Rama, he vanquished the evil Ravana. And as Krishna, he guided the forces of good to triumph over the wicked.
