Magic. To some, it is a mundane tool used for everyday life. For others, specifically wizards, magic is an art and they devoted their lives to its practice. Banded together into magical guilds, they use their skills in search of fame and fortune.

"They can't be serious, can they? Gray, do think they're actually gonna try to pull this off?"
"I mean....it's Erza and Stark cooperating. But it's still hard to imagine."
Gray and Lucy couldn't help but find the idea crazy, meanwhile Happy was eating fish as he was excited to see what happens next. While the rest of the Fairy Tail group was at the center of the village, Erza held out her right hand. Now within her grasp was an extravagant spear that Stark couldn't help but look at in disgust. Soon Erza began to explain herself and what the plan was.
"This is the Giant Armor, it enhances one's throwing capability. This weapon within my hand is the Lance of Haja, capable of repelling darkness. However, this alone won't be enough to reach my target."
"That's where we come in. Natsu uses his fire and I use my reinforcement magic. Both of us will strike the bottom of your lance the moment you throw it, giving it a much needed boost."
"Alright, let's do this!!!!!"
"Why are those three so into the idea of destroying the moon?"
While Lucy and Gray thought this, they saw the trio walking towards the watchtower in the village. As Erza aimed her lance, she began to feel the power of her right arm increasing due to the armor. Just as she was about the throw the weapon, Natsu and Stark both ran at full speed as the two of them punched the end of the lance.
BOOM
A loud explosion roared as the top of the watchtower was blown apart while the spear was soaring through the sky at incredible speed. In just a matter of moments, everyone was shocked to see cracks forming upon the moon's surface just as the spear made contact from their perspective. Erza and Stark smiled as they saw the cracks growing larger and larger until it looked as if purple glass was shattered while it revealed the moon was perfectly fine as it was still it's normal color. While everyone was perplexed, Stark decided to shed some light on the situation.
"The purple moon wasn't actually real. What we all saw was the moon's reflection upon a purple lens that covered the island. The lens was formed from gas caused by the creation of Moon Drip. The gas crystalized above the island, which in turn caused a lens that made the moon look purple upon gazing at it."
"Stark is right. Now, with the lens gone, the village is back to normal. We can finally see their true forms."
As Erza said this, everyone noticed how the villagers didn't change at all. This was due to the fact that their demon forms were there true forms from the beginning. The lens didn't effect them physically, but mentally. The truth was that they were demons capable of human transformation, but the lens altered their memories which caused them to assume their human forms were their original. As for why they couldn't enter the temple, demons weren't capable of gathering in a place that collected holy light.
"I knew I was right to leave this in your hands."
