As the designer, Mr. Desai, entered the room with his two assistants, he greeted them warmly, "Hello, sir. Hello, ma'am."
Meera gave a nod, "Hello, Mr. Desai."
Aarav echoed her, "Hello, Mr. Desai."
They all took their seats on the sofa, and Mr. Desai got straight to business. "So, sir, ma'am, shall we start by deciding on the outfits for the men?"
Both nodded in agreement, and with that, the discussion began. It took nearly three to Four hours, but they managed to make most of the decisions quickly, leaving only a few details to finalize later.
After wrapping up, Aarav and Meera stood up and escorted the designer out till the cabin gate. Once Mr. Desai and his team had left, they both returned to the sofa, feeling a sense of accomplishment after the long discussion.
Meera sighed with relief, "Chalo, ek bada kaam toh nipta."
Aarav nodded, "Haan, ab bas venue ki decoration select karna hai. Engagement rings... woh hum kal ya parso nipta lenge."
They both sat in peaceful silence on the sofa, enjoying the brief moment of calm. A few minutes later, the landline rang, breaking the quiet. Meera sighed, leaning forward to pick up the phone while muttering, "Kisiko chain hi nahi hai."
Aarav chuckled at her expression, finding it amusing.
Meera huffed before answering the call, her tone instantly shifting to a professional one. "Yes... okay, bring a black coffee."(She glanced at Aarav, silently asking what he wanted. Aarav responded with a smile, "Latte.") and a latte."
As she settled back into the sofa, the long hours of discussion finally behind them, Aarav moved closer to Meera. Without saying a word, he gently took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. Meera looked at him, her gaze softening as she felt his touch. Aarav began to draw soothing circles on the back of her palm, a comforting gesture that sent a warm, calming sensation through her.
The silence between them was peaceful, filled with a quiet understanding as they simply enjoyed the closeness.
After a few seconds, Meera softly said, "I just need 2-3 minutes to finish some work, and then I'll give you a tour of the office."
Aarav smiled and replied, "No worries...."
A few moments later, there was a knock on the office door. Meera called out, "Come in." Her secretary entered and said, "Ma'am, here's your coffee," and then she directed the peon to place the coffee on the table.
As soon as the secretary's eyes landed on Aarav, who was sitting comfortably on the sofa, engrossed in his tablet, she couldn't help but stare at him. Aarav, with his effortless charm, seemed to captivate her attention, though he remained focused on his work, unaware of the surrounding.
Meera, who had gone to the table to retrieve something, noticed her secretary still staring at Aarav. A surge of irritation welled up within her. She quickly returned to Aarav's side and sat down, her gaze sharp as she glared at the secretary. Despite the silent warning, the secretary's eyes remained fixed on Aarav.
Sensing someone's gaze on him, Aarav finally looked up, his eyes meeting the secretary's lingering stare.
Suddenly, Meera's strict voice cut through the air, sharp and clear.
"MISS PATEL!"Sumi, startled by Meera's stern voice, turned to her with a look of apprehension.
"Y..ye..yes, ma'am," she said, her voice trembling slightly. Aarav watched the exchange, a hint of shock in his eyes, though he kept his expression neutral and didn't said anything.
