"Sakura!" My mother called out to me from downstairs. I sighed and left my desk. I walked downstairs.
"Yes?" I walked into the kitchen.
"Help your brother." She sighed, probably exhausted from dealing with him. I turned to the living room to see Arata with a bag in his hand.
"What's in the bag?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Pink hair dye..." he mumbled.
"I thought you were going to the hair salon?" I questioned him.
"I'm doing it myself. It costs too much to do that at a hair salon." He said. I sighed. Now I understand why mom didn't want to deal with him anymore.
"Do you need any help?" I asked.
"I would appreciate it." He said nervously. We walked upstairs to his bathroom.
"Just the tips?" I asked. He nodded his head. I followed the directions on the box and started applying the dye to his hair.
"Do you think it'll turn out well?" He asked, scrolling through his feed on his phone. I shrugged.
"Why? Are you trying to impress Kiki?" I asked. His face turned red. I busted out laughing.
"It's not funny!" He huffed, crossing his arms. I giggled to myself.
"It kinda is." I calmed myself down.
"Do you think she'll be impressed?" He asked.
"If it turns out well, then yeah. If it doesn't... well, we'll just have to dye your whole head pink." I said.
"Why my whole head?"
"She'll be impressed by your confidence." I answered. He nodded.
"I don't think I could pull that off." He said. I smacked his arm.
"You look good in everything." I scoffed.
"Not true."
"Dude, you wore an ugly ass uniform in high school, and all the girls wanted you. It is definitely true." I said.
"Whatever..." he rolled his eyes. I smacked the back off his head. He frowned.
"It's time to wash it out." I said. He nodded. I left the bathroom, and he took a shower. After his shower, I used the blow dryer to dry his hair. I trimmed a little bit of it and then styled it.
"Wow... I look good." He admired himself in the mirror.
"No shit. I did your hair, of course it looks good." I crossed my arms. He rolled his eyes.
"What happened to me looking good in everything?"
"I will put the rest of that pink dye in your shampoo if you don't shut the fuck up." I threatened.
"Yes ma'am..." he drooped his head.
"Arata."
"Hm?" He lifted up his head.
"I like your hair."
