Chapter 23 : Nate

Removing Blake's influence over Hannah through seduction is one of the most lamentable ideas that could have crossed my mind. A blow on the back slows down my game, the beautiful redhead submits to her brother, hurrying to join him to wash his feet with her tongue.

April takes a deep breath, a deadly glint crossing her eyes as she turns to her fiancé. In a dark, choked and shocking voice, she said to him:

" Oops, you found me. Do you want to play with me? Become my doll?"

The hunter finds himself pressed against the wall, the princess has changed what makes her sublime, the white of her jumpsuit highlights her pink lips, death has given her the gift of its power. She has the strength within her to destroy the world.

Hannah, victim of her attraction, does not remain unmoved by her sister-in-law's attack on her lover. The incubus has strong power over her, she leans on her legs, her face red with hatred, her claws out, rushes towards April. Tate holds the young woman at arm's length while the Queen of Hearts closes the distance between Blake and her.

"Soulless."

" Call me whatever you want, but not "my wife." If I wasn't already dead, you would have killed me both mentally and physically."

" I treated you like what you are, a woman."

He still thinks that we are in the Middle Ages, but the place of women has evolved a lot. Today, all women are free and equal to men in terms of rights. They are not obliged to accept a marriage in which they do not want to participate. They are not confined to the kitchen and their refusal must be respected.

Women have the right to choose their own destiny and pursue their own aspirations. We live in a society where gender equality is valued and encouraged. It is important to recognize and respect the rights and choices of every individual, regardless of their gender. I know that Blake must have struggled with the place of women in our world.

I keep my head up, ready for action.

" No, no, no, you treated me like a blow-up doll so you're going to be a good puppet and stick your finger up your nose."

He slides his middle finger into her nose, she giggles and turns her attention back to Maelan.

" Oh traitor, why didn't they shoot you already? Good, I'll do it myself."

The hunter frees himself from the power of the future queen of the kingdom, he knocks out Clovis with an elbow to the neck, he grabs his weapon and points it at Ruby. I intervene and the princess imitates me while Tate and Otker overpowers the redhead in the corner. Jochen remains focused on Maelan, betraying his brothers for Blake is a shame.

" You are all very funny, protecting each other for a maid and a whore."

It is truly unacceptable that he speaks to my sister, who is also the mother of his children, in this manner. This is a blatant lack of respect and can be very hurtful to her and to me. I point my gun at him over the head of the young woman in front of me.

" Fires!"

I shoot, he shoots but four shots ring out.

A scream escapes my lips, the burn of the bullet in my shoulder is torture. My hemoglobin gushes into April's hair. I cover the wound as Otker collapses, blood trickling down Tate's calf as Blake removes his jacket to stare at the penetrating wound on his hip. Where are the other two shooters? Where is Hannah?

" Never turn your back."

I turn in the direction of my little sister, I see the two hitmen at the edge of the swimming pool next to the potion and remedy shelf. Their weapons are aimed at Jochen and me. Hannah, for her part, holds a knife to the throat of the woman who beat her to the hunter.
