The work took me all day, I didn't even have time to pour myself a drink when one of the employees video called me to ask me where the month's payments were. I followed up with a meeting to archive the completed files and select the new ones. Ruby brought me a salad at lunch for me to eat before checking last term's bills.

Zola, my secretary, will arrive soon with this month's mail. She must first test drive her new car. Fingers crossed she doesn't have another road accident. I need her while my wife tries to communicate with her sister-in-law. I need a chocolate mousse and a massage because my muscles are tight.

One of Blake's hunters knocks on my door. He comes back from a year-long mission with a big target but two months ago he had a serious accident involving a bear trap and today he comes to me to give the doctor's conclusion on his state of health. He doesn't use a cane or wheelchair and I have a calmer mission for him.

He extends his arm, I catch the paper between his fingers with a smile that I know all too well. I have absolute confidence in Doctor Good but none in Robin. So I analyze the content of the paper and notice some inconsistencies such as the absence of details, the font and the first letter of the doctor's signature.

"I, Doctor Good, have examined Robin Crue and concluded that his state of health prevents him from returning to work in which he must rely on his right leg."

This is the first time that one of our employees has dared to make a false medical declaration to avoid work. The situation is beyond me, what could be wrong with his work? He's been provided with a cottage, a car and a five-figure salary, what more does he want? I smack my pencil against my cheek as I read the fake paper in my hands once again. They are more and more inventive. I go to my emails to access the real conclusion of Doctor Good who explains that Robin can return to work but that he received a call which seemed to talk about work during their meeting.

"Okay, how are you feeling today?"

"Good but, you know, I still have a lot of trouble leaning on it. I almost lost my leg so that's normal."

Pitiful liar.

I activated an alert on his employee profile, loyalty to one's employer is necessary in this type of job, betraying a hitman is like dancing with the Grim Reaper. You must think about the potential consequences of your actions before acting. Blake has no leniency for those who cheat on him with another assassin, he's going to have fun with Robin and I'm going to get a big promotion.

"In what field are you planning to retrain?"

"I don't know yet, I haven't done my resume yet. I don't know how to replace the fact that I've been stalking and killing people for six years with a job that requires the same skills. I don't think people want to employ a man who can't stand and has spent many years committing murder."

"Have you ever received job offers even without having completed your resume?"

"No."

My sense of smell is strong, I smell the sweet scent of Zola's maple syrup on the other side of the door and it whets my appetite. I'm hungry for so many things right now.

"In between."

She wears a white dress too short for a secretary, too long for my mistress. The color brings out the tone of her skin, it is sublime. Her braided hair falls over her shoulders, she squeezes my hand and Robin's.

She runs her fingers over the hunter's shoulder, it is with an ounce of jealousy that I witness the first step of this new mission. She knows what she must do, she has done it before, she can do it again even if she hesitates. A gesture and a movement of the head and the traitor's eyes widened, he felt the syringe in his neck, for the moment he did not feel the effects.
