Taehyun POV

My members were sitting me under the shade, some with mini electric fans, others grabbing water bottles from a cooler nearby. I pushed my limits too far when I clearly shouldn't have. I should've listened to the staff when they told me to get water.

Earlier that day

My members and I were just finishing up our lunch in the café across the street from the HYBE building. As we walked in for our dance practice, we were instead directed to a conference room. We all sat around the table as our schedule manager walked in behind us.

"We've needed to make a sudden schedule change. You guys will be filming a game challenge video today. Everyone is already ready for you, just follow me."

I was weirded out by the sudden schedule change, but Kai begged to differ.

"I'm excited to see what game we'll be playing," he exclaimed.

"I'm excited too," I replied to his enthusiasm.

We were brought outside to a bus that was going to take us to our destination. As we got on and sat down, our camera staff got on with a camera in hand, already filming it looked like.

"Since we're going somewhere far away, we'll be stopping at a rest station. We'll be playing a game for money. The top two earn 35,000 won, 3rd and 4th earn 25,000 won, and 5th earns 15,000 won. You guys get the pick what game you play. You get 5 minutes to discuss."

The staff put on a timer and my bandmates' and I did a makeshift huddle.

"Cham Cham Cham, that one's easy," Soobin commented.

"Too easy, what about rock paper scissors?" I suggested.

"That's even easier. We need something harder," Yeonjun explained.

As we sat in silence thinking, someone offered a suggestion.

"How about 20 questions?" Beomgyu asked.

"Perfect," Yeonjun exclaimed.

"Time's up!" The staff said at the front of the bus.

"We choose 20 questions," Soobin relayed.

"Alright then. The way you guys will play is that two people will go head to head. Each person who wins will go against the winner of another pair. Since there are five of you, one person will go against the final winner. If they win, they're first place; if not, they go against the loser of the previous pair. They keep going down the line until they place, and we will have other matches to find places and so on." The staff explained.

As we processed what they staff said, they showed us a screen on their phone that looked like a bracket system with our faces at the bottom. As I studied the faces, I burst out laughing realizing they were memes of us. I had a quick complaint to make but was shut down by everyone else laughing. The staff announced the first match: Yeonjun vs. Soobin.

The game's stretched on, with some well-deserved laughs here and there, along with a few complaints that had Kai giggling. Afterward, the money was given out. Beomgyu and I got 35,000. Yeonjun and Kai got 25,000; leaving Soobin with the 15,000. The bus was pulling to a stop as prizes were being distributed. We had made it to our rest stop.

"Go get snacks and enjoy them. Be back to the bus by 2:45, alright?" The staff member said.

We all let her know we were good as each of us got off.
