Sunghoon POV

I was in the kitchen, quietly humming to myself as I sliced up some fruit for a late-night snack: a smoothie. The dorm was unusually peaceful, which was rare, so I decided to take full advantage of it. I chopped strawberries, bananas, and mangoes, aiming for the perfect blend. Everything was going great until I turned my focus to the apple.

With one swift motion, the knife slipped, slicing into my hand instead of the fruit. I blinked at the small gash on my palm, the sting not registering until a second later.

"Ow—oh, man, that... wasn't supposed to happen," I muttered, sucking in a sharp breath as the pain set in.

Of course, just as I realized the situation, Heeseung wandered into the kitchen, eyeing me with a smirk.

"Smoothie time, huh? Or... did you plan on throwing your hand in there too?"

I glared at him, holding my injured hand awkwardly.

"I didn't plan for a smoothie with a side of first aid if that's what you're asking."

Heeseung immediately noticed the blood.

"Dude, are you bleeding?" His teasing tone shifted, replaced with genuine concern.

He rushed over, grabbing a kitchen towel to wrap around my hand.

"You're going to need the first aid kit. Hold on, I'll get it."

As Heeseung bolted off to grab the kit, I just stood there in the kitchen, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration.

"I should've just used the pre-cut stuff," I muttered to myself.

When Heeseung came back with the kit, he sat me down at the table and carefully unwrapped the towel. The mood turned more serious as we stared at the cut, which was deeper than I had originally thought.

"Okay, not great," Heeseung said, grabbing the antiseptic and gauze, "This might sting a bit."

"You think?" I grimaced as Heeseung cleaned the wound, the sting biting more than expected. However, I still endured it, knowing Heeseung had things under control.

As Heeseung bandaged up my hand, the air in the room shifted back to its usual playful energy.

"You know," Heeseung said with a grin, "next time you're craving a smoothie, maybe let someone else handle the sharp objects."

I rolled my eyes but couldn't help the smile creeping onto my face.

"Noted. Smoothie duty is officially not my thing."
