The next morning, we went to the Hokage's office, and the usual looks of hate and fear were peering right at me along the way. I just wished I could burn and twist and turn my skin off my body so nobody would know who I was. So I would no longer exist. I just wished those eyes and words would go silent, but even then, the silence itself was too loud for me to live in. Maybe what I wanted was not silence but death.

"Hey look Lin there's a cute kitty over there!" Fu said with excitement, and this was my first time seeing her excited. However, it took a while for me to hear her words amidst the chaos in my mind. Once I heard her words, I stood beside her.

She pulled me down and started asking me if we could take the kitty back home with us, and I wanted to refuse but those eyes. Ahhh, those eyes. Why is that cat looking at me like that? Ahh, stop looking at me! I am not taking a cat home. I already have a person home. I am not taking a cat back home, nah, uh, no way! Is not happening.

"Fu, no, it is not happening. Let the cat be," I said sternly as much as I could.

"Please...can we take Mr. Pocchi home?" she said with those puppy eyes ahhh. Now it was too innocent eyes, making me seem like the bad guy.

"A no is a no, Fu," I replied to her right away. She said nothing, and neither did the cat they just kept looking at me for what felt like an eternity.

"Alright, fine! Just keep the cat out of my workroom!" I said as I started to walk away. Fu energetically grabbed the cat, then held it in her arms and jumped like she just won the lottery. I kept walking to the Hokage office to report the situation, but now there was a darn cat with us, and Fu would not stop babying the cat to my annoyance. Honestly, I wanted to shut both of them up to get back to my thoughts, but there were now more people gazing at us, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Yet, she didn't even seem to pay one bit of attention to them. That was one thing I noticed about her. She lives a carefree life. Despite the circumstances surrounding her. She tried her best to live freely even if she deep down knew she would never be free. That was one thing I admired about her. She was living a life that couldn't be lived. That in itself is something not many people can do and will never be able to do.

"Well we are here now Fu, we are at the entrance of his office and it will be alright okay," I said trying my best to reassure her but she wasn't even paying attention to my words. She was too busy cuddling the cat. Nonetheless, I walked into the office with her following right behind me.

"What brings you here, Lin, and shouldn't you be training with your Sensei?" Hiruzen asked as his eyes landed on the green-haired girl who was playing with a cat in her arms.

"I have come to tell you something of utmost importance. This here is Fu, and she is the Jincuhriki of the 7 tails. Recently, while I was exploring a cave that was on the outskirts of the village, I found her, and yes, I am aware I broke a rule, but I had to. She was scared, confused, and enraged, her tailed beast powers had taken hold of her, and when I got into the cave, all I saw was pure destruction and death. We had a slight scuffle, but it was nothing serious. Once she calmed down, I took her in and began asking her questions. I learned from her that she was kicked out of her village for reasons I believe she should explain herself but the main thing is she is being hunted down by other villages and they see her state of vulnerability as a way to take the tail beast within her." I explained the situation to him in the best and least complicated way possible.

"I see, the situation is delicate and if anything were to happen to her it could cause the 4th Ninja World War and I suppose I have to ask her the reason why she was kicked out from her village. So Fu, tell me, why were you kicked out from your village?" he said with a tone that was soothing reflecting compassion and wisdom.
