With the gallery flourishing and our lives settled into a satisfying rhythm, Marcos and I began to feel a stirring need for exploration.
We had always dreamed of traveling, but the demands of our careers and personal commitments had kept those dreams on hold.
Now, with our newfound stability and a deepened sense of connection, we decided it was time to embrace our wanderlust.

One evening, as we sat together planning our next exhibition, I looked over at Marcos and said, -What if we took a year off to travel the world? We've both talked about it for years, but we've never taken the plunge.-

Marcos's eyes lit up with excitement.
-You know, that sounds incredible. We could explore new cultures, experience different ways of life, and find inspiration for our next projects. Let's do it.-

We started planning our sabbatical year, mapping out the destinations we wanted to visit and the experiences we hoped to have. From the bustling markets of Marrakech to the serene landscapes of New Zealand, our itinerary was a mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation. We decided to document our journey through a travel blog, sharing our stories and photographs with friends, family, and our growing online audience.

The first few months were a whirlwind of activity. We visited the vibrant streets of Tokyo, marveled at the ancient ruins of Athens, and soaked up the sun on the beaches of Bali. Each destination offered new experiences and insights, enriching our lives and deepening our bond. We found joy in the little moments-sharing a meal at a local café, getting lost in a foreign city, and witnessing breathtaking sunsets together.

As we traveled, we often found ourselves reflecting on our relationship and the life we had built. The experiences we shared brought us closer, strengthening our connection in ways we hadn't anticipated. The challenges of navigating unfamiliar places and the excitement of discovering new cultures became a testament to our partnership and resilience.

One memorable adventure took us to a remote village in the Andes, where we stayed with a local family and participated in their traditional festivities. The simplicity of their lifestyle and the warmth of their hospitality left a lasting impression on us. We realized how much we had taken for granted and gained a new appreciation for the little things in life.

After a year of travel, we returned home with a collection of unforgettable memories and a renewed perspective. Our experiences had broadened our horizons and given us a deeper understanding of the world and ourselves.

As we settled back into our lives, we found that our travels had enriched our relationship, bringing a new sense of adventure and excitement to our everyday routine.

One evening, as we unpacked the last of our souvenirs and photos, Marcos turned to me with a smile.
-This year has been amazing. I feel like we've grown so much, both as individuals and as a couple.-

I nodded, feeling a profound sense of gratitude.

-Absolutely. Our travels have given us so much to reflect on and appreciate. I'm excited to see how we can use these experiences to continue growing together.-

-Well you can kiss me first and then look if we have growth-

I laughed for his idea but after a few seconds I grab him in my arms and kiss him deeply.

Then, an idea crossed my mind
-¿How about we watch a movie?-
He looked at me intrigued
-¿What do you have in mind?-
I smile at him and as I turn on the TV I started to move with the remote control and look for a good movie.
-¿Can I give a suggestion?-
-For sure-
-¿What about an horror movie?-
I agreed, I forget to mention that I love horror movies.
-That sounds amazing-

When we finally chose the movie, we settled next to each other on the couch. As the film started, our hands naturally intertwined, seeking comfort amidst the suspense. The room was dark, with only the glow from the screen illuminating our faces.
As the scenes grew increasingly terrifying, our expressions mirrored the horror: wide eyes, tense lips, and occasionally, we clung a bit tighter to face the fear together.
Each jolt from the screen made us flinch, our breaths syncing with the shocks of the plot, intensifying the moment.

As the story unfolded, the tension kept us on the edge of our seats, and our hands gripped each other more firmly. We exchanged nervous glances and whispered reassurances, trying to distract ourselves from the most disturbing scenes. Despite the fear, the physical closeness became a refuge against the anxiety, deepening our connection. In moments of calm, we stole glances at each other, recognizing not only the fear but also a comforting sense of camaraderie. Each unexpected turn in the movie synchronized our reactions and nervous laughter, reminding us how much we enjoyed being together, even in the midst of terror.

Finally, as the movie ended, we lay side by side, exhausted but satisfied. The screen went dark, leaving the room in silence, broken only by our nervous laughter. Although the terror had been palpable, facing it together had strengthened our bond. We looked at each other, smiling with a mix of relief and tenderness, knowing that we had faced the fear together and that these moments of intimacy made our connection even more special.
The experience left us with a warm, comforting feeling, a promise that no matter how frightening the path might be, we could always rely on each other.

As we looked ahead, we were filled with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement. Our journey had not only tested our love and commitment but had also deepened our connection in ways we had never imagined.
The trials and triumphs we had experienced together had strengthened our bond, and each challenge had only reinforced our belief in each other.
We felt an invigorating sense of anticipation as we thought about the future, ready to embrace new opportunities and adventures.

Our sabbatical year had been a remarkable chapter in our lives, characterized by exploration and growth. It had taught us to appreciate the beauty of spontaneity and the value of taking risks together. We were now eager to continue our journey, knowing that we faced whatever came next with the same spirit of adventure that had guided us through this transformative period.

With every step forward, we carried with us the lessons and memories of our shared experiences, confident that our love would continue to be the compass that directed us toward a future filled with endless possibilities. Together, we were ready to explore new horizons, knowing that whatever the future held, we would tackle it side by side, united in our purpose and enthusiasm.
