Yana's pov
I wake up at 7:00 because we have practice at 8 I get out of bed after responding to some of my comments on my instagram post. i put my hair in two French braids brush my teeth and get dressed.
I grab my UConn basketball shorts, a black under armor compression shirt and I put on my crocks and slide my Sabrina's in my gym bag.
I go to Aubrey's car since we share a dorm room it's easier if we go together. I'm still thinking about if Layla likes me and what I should do about it so I ask my best friend Aubrey.
"Hey aubs" I say with curiosity in my voice
"Yeah what's up Yana" she says back
"Do u thinks I should talk to Layla how I feel"
"I mean if you like her but take it slow you just broke up with your boyfriend yesterday" she says knowing that's the best advice.
"Ok thanks for the pep talk"
"Yep no problem Yana" she says with a chuckle
We arrive shortly after blasting Tyler the creator and singing our hearts out.
We enter the locker room surprisingly almost everyone is here, i look to my left and see kk with her head in her hands.
"Looks like someone had to much kk specials last night" I say to her jokingly
"Oh hush it James" she says with a grin on her face knowing I don't like to be called my last name
"Whatever Arnold" I say with a playing tone in my voice
As I head into the gym I make my way over to we're Layla was standing and was writing something down.
"Hey you" I say with a grin on my face
"Hey what's up Yana"
"Mmm nothing just waiting for geno to come in"
"Ok well you better start warming up before he yells at you" she says laughing
"Yeah but do u wanna come to my dorm later ima invite everyone else so we can have like a movie night or something like that" I say nervously
"Sure I'll see you there"
"See you there" I say turning around trying to hide the light pink color my cheeks are.
I walk over to Aubrey to see if it's ok if everyone comes over.she said it's ok and asked everyone else.
As practice comes to an end I start to get nervous as I have a game setup to see if Layla really likes me.
