Chapter 4

/Abbie's pov/

As I knocked on the door it flung open.

'Hey Abbie' Kevin said happily.

'Hi Kevin' I said happily.

'Are you ready to have a good time?' Kevin said.

'Of course I am' I said happily.

'Come in, come in, take a look around my house' Kevin said. I looked around the house and it really looked nice and tidy. She must have prepared hard. We both sat down in the living room in front of the couch on the floor.

'What do you want to do Abbie?' Kevin asked. As she said that I was thinking of what we could do until a thought popped in my head.

'Do you want to play a board game?' I asked.

'Of course we can and let's play candyland that's my favorite' Kevin said. I am surprised by her answer because candyland was my favorite too.

'That's my favorite one too' I happily said.

'Really?' Kevin said.

'Yes' I happily said.

'That's so cool let me go get it' Kevin said. As she left the living room I started to feel strange. My heart was beating and I was having new thoughts about Kevin. I thought she was cute and beautiful. But I shrugged these feelings and thoughts reminding myself that she is only my friend.

She came back with the box containing candyland.

'Are you ready to get crushed in candyland' Kevin said.

'No, I think you will be crushed because I'm really good at this game' I said.

'Well we will see about that' Kevin said.

/1 hour later/

We played like 5 rounds and I won 3 of them.

'Wow you really are good at candyland. Awesome job Abbie' Kevin said while congratulating Abbie.

'Thanks Kevin and you played great too' I said.

'You don't have to say that' Kevin said softly.

'But I want to. You did a great job' I said happily.

'Thank you' Kevin said with a blush. After she said that my stomach was rumbling and I felt embarrassed.

'Sorry' I said sadly.

'No it's okay you must be hungry' Kevin said.

'I am a little hungry' I said.

'What time is it?' Kevin asked. I checked the clock on the wall and it said 4:30.

'It is 4:30' I said.

'Do you want me to start dinner?' Kevin asked.

'Only if you want too' I said.

'Sure let me get started on it' Kevin said.

'But before you go, what are we having for dinner?' I asked.

'We are having pepperoni cheese pizza' Kevin said.

'Oh I love pizza' I said.

'Me too but I will be right back' Kevin said. She left real quick to get the pizza from the fridge and put it in the oven to come back but it happened again. I was getting fuzzy feelings and thoughts again. I couldn't stop staring at her and just admired everything about Kevin. My heart was beating really fast.

I don't understand why this is happening to me. Do I have to crush on Kevin, if I do something like this has never happened before. My daze in my thoughts was interrupted when Kevin said something to me.
