The next day after all that incident my sister kept on nagging me and teasing me about Jai and I felt so embarrassed that I wanted to turn into an ostrich and bury my head in the sand. I somehow convinced her to go to sleep by constantly reminding her that tomorrow was her marriage and that she had to wake up at 3 am. As I was on bridesmaid duty I also had to go with my sister to get her ready. As Agnee and his caveman brother had sneaked over here at 12:30. How dare that man? Now they both were probably sleeping while both of us had to wake up really tired. As we were sitting on the car my sister was wearing a simple pink kurti and I was wearing a black shirt and jeans. Both of us had our clothes ready. I had a cup of coffee in my hand as my sister held her hung up saree in her arms holding it up and I helped her sip it. My sister was a nervous wreck. Was marriage always this scary? "Paru breathe it's okay. You are fine.. No worries." I said and she smiled nervously.
Time skip to the wedding
Now we were getting taken to the auditorium. I was wearing a pink lehenga.
Little of my cleavage was exposed and some aunties might say some bullshit about the low cut but I don't care. This is my sister's best day. And I wasn't letting ANYONE ruin it for her. From grumpy aunties to annoying children.
My sister's entrance song was the inkem inkem kaavale song flute version. She was wearing a beautiful red saree with beautiful hair and makeup as she walked to the mandap.
Agneedath was already sitting in the mandap and he looked awestruck as he watched my sister come to him. I was holding a thalam walking behind her and our aunties was holding a kuttu vilkk walking infront of her. She was lead to the stage where she folded her hands infront of the audience and sat down adjusting her saree. Agnee whispered something in her ears and she blushed deeply. Everyone looked at each other with a smile but I was just so happy that I couldn't even tease her. As my eyes roamed around the room it fell on an all too familiar smug face of Ranvijay Aditya Shankar and I tried my best to not get bothered. Weirdly he was wearing the same color kurta as my lehenga along with the mundu. He smirked at me continuing to stand behind his brother. As the thaali was being tied he winked at me signalling me something with his eyes and my eyes widened as I thought of what he meant. I glare at him looking at my sister avoiding the gaze boring into my head. Was he here to gawk at me or attend the wedding? Finally the rituals were done and I stood there to help take the photos to show them different poses in which they can do it. "Need any help with showing the husband and wife how to pose" I heard a deep voice and I almost lost balance in shock but he caught my waist. We stood there in that position and I was mesmerized by his eyes. "Look at them... That is how you should do it" the photographer says and I snap out of my daze and stood up straight clearing my throat. "Sorry" I said trying to keep my voice steady. "You have soft skin" he says and I turn to him bewildered. "Pardon?" I asked trying to make sure I heard right. "Your skin here" he says touching my waist and a small squeak escape my mouth. "It's really soft...." He says and I glare at him. "Mister don't get too comfortable now that I don't have a pan" I said glaringly. "Do you always carry a pan around Miss?" He said and I grit my teeth. Calm down. Calm down. All of this will be over. Your sister's wedding. It's your sister's wedding. "Ammu don't you guys want to go eat?" My sister asked and I broke out of my glaring contest with him. "After you are done Chechi. We will eat together" I said and she smiled nodding. They continued taking photos and finally after almost 3 hours we were made to go into the food hall. I walked to my sister and leaned down to get ear "Paru one thing.... The camera man might catch you at any time and we don't want you eating ugly so make sure you eat elegantly and slowly so you have good pictures for your album" I said and she nodded determined and I nodded walking ahead of her. My sister sat alongside her husband on the table after greeting all of her guests. I sat on her other side and as all the other seats were a man that was probably a relative of Agnee sat beside me and I smiled turning to my sister. My eyes widen and my head snaps to the side when I see the man fallen on the ground and the same tall figure. Mr. Caveman stood towering over the man and I tilted my head in confusion. "Oh no how clumsy you are Adarsh" he says and I swore I could hear some sarcasm in it. I leaned down to help him up but Mr Caveman had already grabbed his hand and pulled him up. He said something to him in a low voice and the man basically ran off. "Jai Etta what did you say to him?" My sister asked but my brother-in-law didn't even look bothered as he stared at Jai with a raised eyebrow. "Oh no nothing I just told him to be careful where he sits..." He says and I stare at him in absolute confusion. What the hell was going on? "Doesn't he want to eat? Where did he run off too?" I asked. "Maybe he got scared of falling off from the chair. Poor guy" Jai says sitting beside me. "Oh and look all of your food is untouched where you waiting for me Pari?" He asked putting his arms around my shoulder and I roll my eyes shrugging his grip off. "You wish.... I was just waiting for these lovebirds to start.... Until that guy fell off the chair" I said in confusion. He shrugs. "Maybe fate wanted us to be together My Pari" he says and I scrunch my nose glaring at him. He pinches my nose making me wince. "Come on stop being such a grumpy duck " he says and my mouth drops. "Duck? DUCK?" I almost scream but I take a deep breath calming myself down. "You two stop fighting" my sister said frustrated and I pout looking away. "We weren't fighting my dear sister-in-law I was just bonding with her." He says and Agnee glared at him as if secretly communicating something while he just cheesily smiled back at his brother.
What kind of a confusing family did my sister end up with? I looked back at the very confusing man and luckily for once he wasn't staring at me. Just what is going on inside your head Mr Caveman?
