Piper ☁

"Can you please hangout with me today?" Cameron gave me puppy eyes and pouty lips.

It's been a week or so after he stalked me home. I don't want to admit it to him, but he's growing on me.

The next shift I had after the Jack Something-that-rhymes-with-Stilinski fiasco, I told him all about it.

He just frowned and told me to stay away from him because he was, I quite, "a fuckboy." Of course, being the stubborn person I am, I told him that "it's my life, I can do anything, and i can meet and be friends with anyone; It's none of your business." He just responded with the most childish reply: "Whatever Major Loser."

"No, I have homework to do." I told him and walked to a person who gestured for me.

"Good afternoon, ma'am. Welcome to Sweetea Cafe. What's your order?" I smiled at her.

"So, like, do you have anything without sugar in it?" She started talking in this really annoying voice.

Bitch what? You're in a cafe!

"I'm afraid that only water is the only thing we serve here without sugar." I said, still smiling.

"What the fuck? I'm out of here. I don't like sugar!" She got up and left.

I sighed and returned to my spot in the counter again, looking at Cameron.

"Well, that was dramatic." He grinned at me.

"You don't say." I rolled my eyes, but still smiled.

"What are your plans?" He put his chin in the palm of his hands, resting his elbow on the counter.

"I told you, I'm going to travel." I, too, put my hands on the counter.

"No, like before that."

"Well, next week, I'm going to take my final exams. Then we have a whole week to practice for graduation. And then, after three days, we're going to my-- a lake house with friends." It slipped from my mouth that we had a lake house. I hope he didn't notice!

"Cool." He smiled at me.

We smiled at each other for a good ten seconds. This is awkward.

I was the first to look away, seeing if my apron was neat and I began fiddling with it.

I figured that I should invite him, because he's technically a friend (don't tell him I said that).

I bit my lip, "Um, you can come if you want. Unless you're not available or you just don't want to go at all. It's fine with me. It's not like, I expect you to come or something."

I looked at him underneath my lashes, still biting my lip.

"You're so cute when you babble." Cameron pinched my cheeks.

I slapped his hand away, "Shut up."

"So, I have two weeks and three days, right?" I nodded.

"Let's see if I'm available," he brought out his phone from his pocket, checking his schedule, "until when is this lake house trip?"

"We have two days and two nights."

"You're in luck 'cause I'm available." He smiled at me.

"Yay." I cheered, though lacking enthusiasm.

"Where's this lake house?" "About two hours from here." "Alright cool."

Suddenly, Alexandria came out of the kitchen, "Piper, honey, we have to close in ten minutes max. My husband rushed Annie to the hospital. Told me she was vomiting like crazy."
