𖤐Hogwarts express𖤐
Harry and Charlie boarded the Hogwarts express, Harry begs Charlie to sit with him instead of going offensive his own, and Charlie knows he can't say no even if he wants to obliged.
The train began to move, the door to the compartment opened, and a boy with ginger hair and freckles walked poked his head through.
"Anyone sitting there?" He asked nervously, nodding to the space across from Harry. "Everywhere else is full.." He continues.
Harry shook his head, and the boy nodded before stepping in and closing the compartment door. He sat across from Harry.
"What's you's are names?" Ron asked the two.
"I'm Charlie Potter." Charlie says from beside Harry.
"And I'm his brother Harry Potter!" Harry exclaimed happily. Ron's mouth formed the shape of an O.
"I'm Ronald Weasly. I prefer to be called Ron, though." He said after a moment.
Charlie nods, and Harry smiles, going into a conversation with Ron.
"Do you really have the scar?" Ron asks Harryat one point.
"Yeah, you wanna see it?" Harry asks, and Ron nods. Harry moves his fringe up and shows the scar.
"So that's where you-know-who....?" Ron asks, but trails off. Harry nods.
"Yeah, but I can't remember i -" Harry starts but gets cut off by Charlie, who's been quiet most of the time.
"You don't remember, but I do." Charlie says from behind his book. Harry nods. Charlie had told him once when he asked, and Ron looked shocked.
There was a knock on the compartment door, and the round-faced boy Harry and Charlie had passed earlier from the platform came in. He looked tearful.
"Sorry." He said. "But have any of you seen a toad at all?" He continued.
When they shook their heads, he wailed.
"I've lost him! He keeps getting away from me!"
"He'll turn up." Charlie reassured, looking up at the boy.
"Yes." The boy muttered miserably. "We'll, if you see him..." He trailed off leaving.
"Don't know why he's so bothered." Ron said. "If I'd brought a toad, I'd lose it as quick as I could. Mind you, I brought Scabbers, so I can't talk." The rat was still sleeping on his lap.
"He might have died, and you wouldn't know the difference." Said Ron in disgust. "I tried turning him yellow to make him look more interesting, but the spell didn't work. Here I'll show you, look ..." He rummaged around his trunk and pulled out a battered looking wand. It was chipped in places, and something white was glinting at the end.(🤨)
He had just raised his wand when the compartment door slid open again. The toadless boy was back, but this time, he had a girl with him.
"Hermione!?" Harry and Charlie exclaimed. Hermione was their muggle friend from muggle school, so it was a shock to see her here.
"Harry! Charlie!" Hermione smiled.
"Has anyone here seen a toad?" Hermione asked.
"We already told him no." Charlie says. Hermione nods, and Neville walks off.
Hermione sits down across from Charlie, and next to Ron, she turns to Ron.
"I'm Hermione Granger, by the way, and you are?" She asks, extending her hand for him to shake.
"Ronald Weasly! I prefer Ron, though." Ron smiles, shaking her hand.A few hours had passed. Ron, Hermione, and Harry had gone into conversation occasionally bringing Charlie into the conversation.
"Where do you all want to be sorted?" Ron asks.
"I like Ravenclaw, I'm quite smart, but I wouldn't mind Gryffindor." Hermione says.
"I don't mind as long as it's not Slytherin, I hear their common room is cold." Harry adds.
"All my family are Gryffindor, so I hope I go there." Ron nods.
"I wouldn't mind where I go, really." Charlie shrugs. Ron looks shocked and slightly annoyed.
"But all Slytherins are evil! You wouldn't want to be one of them, would you?!" Ron exclaims.
"Not all Slytherins are bad. Our uncle Eddie was almost put in Slytherin." Charlie says with a nod. Ron drops it there but gives Charlie dark looks from time to time.
