Because Of You

Chapter 8

My eyes squinted open at the sound of my phone buzzing on the side of me. Sitting up, sleep still evident in my body, I reached over and looked at the caller ID. I shook my head when I saw that it was Rell, sliding my hand down the side of my face I answered it.

"Hello?" My voice still groggy from me just waking up.

"Nigga I know yo ass wasn't just sleep." His loud mouth ass spoke into the phone.

"Yes nigga, I was. What the fuck you want?" I asked rudely.

"Well wake yo ass up, I'm coming thru."

I removed the phone from my ear to look at the time, it was close to going on 9:45pm.

"For what?"

"I got the cooks nigga plus I want my rematch. Double or nothing this time." Shaking my head, I brought my fingers up to the bridge of my nose.

"Whatever, I guess nigga." I replied not even caring, I truly ain't have the strength to argue with this nigga so I just said fuck it.

We finished our conversation then hung up, I slid my phone onto my nightstand and sat up completely, dropping my head in my hands. While sitting there I could hear the sound of distinctive laughter. Not just any laughter though, female laughter and if I'm not mistaken it sounded like more than just two.

I stood up and slipped on the shirt that I was wearing earlier before making my way out to the front. Silently creeping into the living room I noticed hella shit including my couch pillows spread out on the floor along with Torian and Kai sitting both with their backs to me and Sadé standing in my kitchen clearly not paying attention to her surroundings. I stood quietly, my hand on my chin as I watched and listened to Torian, Kailan and Sadé without their knowledge of me being there. They looked real comfortable as they talked about how Sa lost in an uno game. I chuckled lowly, shocked at the fact that they still didn't notice me standing here listening to the conversation they were having. It was all fun and games until I heard Sadé say something about Torian stealing my car.

"She did what now?" I interrupted, my eyebrows lowered as my jaw clenched. "Torian I just know she better be lyin'." I said laughing, my gaze directly on her.

She was stuck, the guilty look on her face gave it all away. I was about to say something but a significant knock sounded on my front door, already knowing it was Rell, I went over and let him in.

"What's up." I slapped hands with him then closed the door.

"Oh shit, y'all having a party?" Rell asked a wide smile on his face. "And a nigga wasn't invited?"

"Oh my god, now I see where Sa's ass gets it from." T said laughing.

"Na nigga, I don't know what the fuck is going on I just woke up to this shit." I admitted truthfully with a slight attitude. "What are y'all doing?" I questioned looking between the three of them.

"Girls night." Kai answered cheerfully.

I smiled a little remembering the mood she was in earlier, I was glad that she was feeling better so I wasn't going to go all the way in on them for fucking up my living room.

I leaned up against the island counter and directed my eyes over to the pile of different things spread throughout the floor of my living room, I'm not even lying when I tell you that my shit looked like the inside of a teenaged girls bedroom. I wasn't going to hate on them though, if anything I was happy that they were comfortable enough to chill like this in my crib seeing as I planned on having Torian around a lot, I wanted her to feel comfortable. Knowing her though Kai and Sadé, were never too far behind so I might as well get used to it now.
